I have been wondering this for a long time and would like to know why players who have an extremely powerful base put their town hall on the outskirts? I mean. What is the point in making a fortified base, when the enemy can get a victory by just putting down a few archers and moving on after your hall has been destroyed?. If someone could tell me I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

It is called farming, most players do it. You give the town hall so that you get a free 12 hour shield to hold resources. These players only care about upgrading and resources.Quote:

Why not..its called farming. When someone can care less about trophy pushing...why not get a cheap easy shield while keeping that loot. Anyways, if the TH is in the middle, then there is less room for defenses and storages.

The ugly truth is, gaining trophies is the LAST thing you want to do in this game. Even having your TH exposed isn't enough, you need to deliberately dump cups on top of that. The 12 hour shield for a 1k/1k loss is absolutely ridiculous, why nothing has been done about this is beyond me but farming has warped this entire game anyway, so...
I played this game for the first 8 months or so doing everything in my power to protect my TH. That was eight months wasted, period. My maxed TH9 base has been wiped exactly TWICE, and anyone who lightnings my DE will get stomped even if I take a serious revenue loss in the revenge.

Just think about this
if you fully protected your th someone weak will not attack you mean the only one attack you have the ability to really turn your base to dust mean lost more resources
higher throphy dont mean higher loot it just mean more hard opponent so why push your throphy( it just fame maybe)
in my case i try pushing throphy for bonus gem (5th builder) and i still throw my townhall outside (if you ask why) its better lose 5-10 throphy than get full destroy - 30 throphy
