Can anyone verify this

I have an ipod touch and it has battery problems, so i am going to attempt to replace the battery. I have a clash of clans account lv 83 and i want to keep it safe incase i break my ipod whilst fixing it.
My mum has recently bought an android tablet and i would like to link the account to it to keep it safe however i heard that you can only link an account once! If this is true then i would be stuck with playing clash on my mums tablet (not ideal :P).
Just to clarify, my next phone will be android (i wont touch apple again), so i can not backup through GC.

The basic question is can i link an account to a device more than once?

If you need further assistance or experience any issues with linking your devices, please contact player support via the in-app reporting feature in the in-game settings menu! You'll find it under the Help & Settings option.

In order to transfer your village between and iOS and Android device, it needs to be connected to Game Center/Google+. You can verify the Game Center connection on iOS by logging into Game Center and opening the game from the Game Center's 'Games' tab. For Android, open Clash of Clans and connect your village to Google+ in the in-game settings by clicking the Google+ sign in button.

Everything verified? To move your village between your devices follow these steps:

1. Open Clash of Clans on both your Android and iOS devices (source device and target device)
2. Open the in-game settings window on both devices
3. Press the 'Link a device' button

4. Select OLD DEVICE on the device you would like to move your village FROM
5. Select NEW DEVICE on the device you would like to move your village TO

7. STOP!!!! Before you proceed, please make sure you have played through the tutorial and not made a purchase before TH4. Read the VERY IMPORTANT NOTE located above.
8. Use the device code provided on your OLD DEVICE and enter it on your NEW DEVICE. You have a 5 minute window of time before your code is invalid!

9. After you have successfully copied the village transfer code from one device to the other, your village will be on both devices

op, please don't make dupe threads. When you first linked. Your village would have been attached to a google + account. Just log into the same one on the new android and you will be bake to load the village.

My mum uses a different google account to me. Does this mean i will have to use her account when i play, or will the village stay when i switch accounts.

Clarification:

"Link a device" from in game Settings = transfer your account to another platform (as in from iOS to Android and vice versa). You can only do this once.

"Link your account to GC/G+" = attach your acc to a GC/G+ so that you can use it to load your farm when you change device. You can only attach ONCE to the acc of YOUR choice. (Login to GC first before launching Clash/ add new G+ account when you attach).

So i can only change device once? Its just that i want to transfer my account from 'my iPod' to 'my mums tablet' to 'a new android phone'.

You can change Operating system once.

If you change from iOS to iOS, attach to GC and use GC to load. Same with Android but use Google+. Your acc can be attached to GC AND G+.

The point is you don't use "Link a device" to change from iOS to iOS/ Android to Android.

I think i understand now. So once i link it to my mums tablet, it will be linked to her account. Which means to use my village on the new phone, i will need to use her account.

So is this true? Because i dont want to have to use her google+, i want to use mine :D
