What are my units doing? (Especially Giants)
I do not currently have a video but I will try and get one as soon as I can to demonstrate.
I have been playing a for a fair few months now, just started my th on lvl 8 but I have had all the way through th6 and th7 a tried and tested battle group that gives me near 100% every time if i'm not having a derpathon on my troops placement. But recently, the past 3/4 weeks, I have been noticing units doing weird pathings to other buildings. Here are some examples (especially giants are the most noticeable):
- Giants will split up their grouping and a portion of the giants will go off and attack something else, regardless if there is a defense building closer. This causes a couple of problems; 1) healer heals the closest giant group which by the alignment of the stars and Uranus is always the smaller of the two giant groups. 2) Makes it impossible to predict what my giants line of attacks will be making it extremely difficult to plan a good placement had has lost me a star in 75% of my battles.
- Giants will attack the walls at random - I've had it many many times when attacking a base which does not have all the walls exactly the same so there would be easier routes through and the giants seem to pick the wall to attack by throwing a dice and walking in. Seriously Mr. Giant, you're going to attack a level 7 wall over the level 2 wall piece next to it? I know you're stupid but really?
- Hogs splitting up (like giants) - They'll all run towards the nearest defense building like the good little Mr Ts they are then after destroying that one and moving to the next they'll all go for it but then some of them will just spread onto the next one in the line or veer off wildly to a building well over 200% of the distance to one in stead of the closest
- Wizards - running past a defensive building to attack the next one, like the hoggies above. Wizards, Supercell have just bigged you and your super awesome megatastic better than Ace Ventura's hair do up, so shape it up or ship out!
I can't find any details on a major change to the AI programming but right now, I am losing faith in any attack I do and am starting to feel like I should just mash my face against my tablet for troop placement, would give the same effect.
There are a couple of forum posts I've seen with similar problems I have had, please comment below if you are aware of what the change was or if you've had it yourself!
