Simple Question:
Does anyone know in general terms how long does it take to get 100 Million for the gold grab?
Example: If you spend 2 to 3 hrs a day on the game, you can only get 1-2 attacks in if your waiting for 4 spells to finish, which take a little over 2 Hours. Im guessing a year?

If you're farming for gold, you should never be waiting on 4 spells to finish. Use 1-2 per raid max, and try to farm with a combo that trains in 45 minutes or less.
For me, 2 weeks and 4 days.
I farm 40m gold per week.
Use barch (barbs and archers). With lightning spells to take out mortars if need be. Spells should never be relied on when farming. A full day of farming can get me up to 5mil gold. Just yesterday I raided 1.5mil in 90mins.
As for your question it will really depend on your luck when searching and how patient you are. Don't be scared to press next 'til you find the right base.
I think it took me about 4 months or so and I play A LOT

That being said, The elixir just piles up anyway so there really is no reason not to have spells available, but you don't want to get so used to using them that you're wasting time waiting around for spells to finish when your army is already done. I'm playing since October 2013 and my GG is 520 millions. I'm pretty active so...
At the end of the day very active players can take very different amount of time. All comes down to what is active? some people think 2-3rs is active. I play 4-6 hrs a day. And I'm sure for some this is not "very active".
Also depends on what base you target and how well you do at them. For instance I press next and never settle for less than 400K resources. Some would be happy with 250-300k.
So no right or wrong answer here except: it takes some time and dedication, particularly for the first 100M. the rest just rolls off easily by the time you're there. By then you will have experience, stronger troops and probably higher cups.

I am a mid-level TH8. Float between 1200 and 1400 trophies. Can take down TH7's easy.....probably half of TH8's. Sometimes i will cycle through up to 50 targets. Raid about 3 hours a day probably. Maybe get 2 of the 400k targets a day.
And to answer the original posters question. Took me ~3 months from starting the game to get to 100 million gold raided. i would raid probably 3 hours a day....usually getting 2 million gold in a day. Just divide 100 million by the average gold you raid in 1 night. Definitely don't wait for spells though. Nice to have them but you should be able to get resources without spells. If not you are probably too high in trophy count. My armies take about 15 minutes to build completely and i use a lot of giants and wallbreakers.
since I also work and tend to family matters I usually play 2 - 3 hours a day during weekdays and 5 - 6 hrs during weekends.
Question though, how can you see the GG once you reached 100M? :confused:

Thanks yoda. Good to hear about your experiences. Some people were telling me that I should drop back down to Silver I even......so I am happy to hear that isn't necessary. I am definitely fine with getting my loot and surrendering before I get to 50%. Yesterday I found someone with all full collectors which gave 450,000 gold and 450,000 elixir without even having to break a wall. Wish there were more of those!Quote:
