As of 9/1/14 Glassboard is no longer free.

This thread is mostly for Clan Leadership. My clan has been using Glassboard to communicate out of game, post strategy guide links, and pictures of base designs. We also have a separate group for just Leadership. It had some issues like the confusion with old/new threads but for the most part has been successful. Unfortunately Glassboard was bought out and the new owners ate now going to charge for use of this app. I am looking for a new app but don't want to give out my phone number. I heard bad things about group me texting everyone on your contact list. I am curious what you all use for out of game communication for apps?

Hi Erod, we use BBM (blackberry messenger) and it's good. And the perfect thing is it now can be used in any IOS and Android device as well. Try it out.

KIK works great. Similar to Glassboard

Line has always been a great resource for my clan. It's similar to Glassboard, - as you can post links, pictures, videos, have groups of 199 people, you can have a profile, a "What's up?" message, etc. I hope that if you try it out, you enjoy it, that you get a lot of use from it. :o

We have been very happy with BAND, free for both iOS and Droid.

It provides a calendar and a polling function that has allowed us to move to a more democratic system. We now vote for Leader every three months.

There are ways to set private convos and leaders-only convos.

Our clan uses Line

Our clan also uses Line messenger - one group for clanmates and another group for co-leaders.

We have our own Forum

we use hangouts, its available for android ( its already installed, if you have one) and apple and its free. its just like kik or bbm

we moved over to Everyme app.but it's only used for longer Clan emails if needed..which isn't often.
.
But use kik Much more then everyme like 9 times out of 10 with our clan.

I also have Line, Band , lookouts, WhatsApp, Groupme, and Remind

all can be used to help clan communication.

We converted to band. No lag, more functionality and IMO better design. It has helped move our clan on to a different level of cooperation and fun. Our war lag is testament to that. Good luck with the change
