just a strategy ive been using for awhile and im sure im not the only one. But if i absolutely dont need the minerals from my cc, i store them there. Since most of my base builds revolve around my clan castle in the center.
of course i end up collecting once another war is about to end or i havent had to much luck/time farming.
anyone else do this?
Not talking about fragment sentences but talking about using your cc as another storage device.

Yes, but it's unclear to me if the cc loot is included in the loot cap. If it's not then it would make more sense to collect the loot when storages are starting to fill up.
but you have to keep in mind, if you clan castle can hold 700k of each, and gets destroyed you dont loose alot.
so if your clan castle is in the middle of your base it makes perfect sense to hold onto it, instead of dumping and spliting the goods to your easily picked off storages

Not quite. Once your gold total hits 2,916,667 for th9, any more gold you're holding in your storage won't increase the lootable amount. So if you have 2,916,667 gold already, it would make sense to collect your loot from CC. However, the cc does effectively increase your gold/DE capacity (not counting elixir as for many it is always full anyways0). Also, for Th9, available raidable gold from storage is 350k, not 400k.

when someone smashes CC he steals only a fraction, so I only claim gold/elixir from storage when need for an upgrade or before a war ends if can't keep all.

To make it clear (again) cc is lootable at half the percentage of gold and elixir storages. However, cc is not considered in the loot cap. So in conclusion...
It IS SAFER in cc if you do not have enough resources to reach the cap.
IT IS NOT SAFER in cc if you have enough in your storages to reach cap.
On a side note you may have only one resource above cap and the other two below cap. It is your call whether to keep loot in cc at that point as no option is necessarily "better" in that case.
