Starting th9 in about 5 hrs

Get 'em X-bows ASAP!!
Upgrade army camps too.

Ok I'm convinced about the x bow. I'll do that instead of mortar. It just seems kinda weak is all.
It's like another archer tower. I plan on doing army camp tmrw when my 5th builder is free

I just recently did the same. Here is the build order I think is best:

1. Do all instant builds

AQ - 40k DE
Seeker mines x2
Big bomb

2. Upgrade attacking power (note you will need LOTS of elixir!)

Archer Queen - start upgrade and keep farming DE to get her up to level 5 whenever possible
Clan Castle – expensive, but increases offensive and defensive capacity. Get it out of the way early is good.
Lab - ASAP, I'm not sure about the upgrade on a lab stopping your current upgrade timer, for some reason my Pekka was finished as soon as my lab finished and I thought it still had one day ...
DE Drill - need it for AQ upgrades, keep upgrading till level 3! The elixir price is low and build time is shortish. Then you probably won't be able to afford the elixir till later.

Army camps – once the above is done upgrade your army camps, pending elixir availability.

3. Prep for archer 6
Elixir storage level 11 - this takes about 4-5 days to build from the ground up but you need it to be level 11 to research Archer level 6.

4. All other new buildings - spare gold
Wizard tower, archer tower, anti air, and x-bow. I'd build x-bow last because it takes 7 days and ties up the builder. Once you build it cost elixir to reload.

I'd do it last after all other new buildings are up. Its good, but it takes 7 days to build and demands elixir to reload, as noted above you'll desperately need elixir in the early stages of TH9 for expensive upgrades (archers cost 7.5 million elixir).

Also I'd prioritise offensive over defensive capability any day of the week.

Edit: I would have dumped my gold in a clan castle upgrade. I'd keep saving till you have 5 million and upgrade the CC, but that requires super patience. Since you have 3 million gold I would dump it into the xbow. Just so it can't be stolen. Prioritise building new buildings over upgrading current ones.

Look at the range. It adds to your base's DPS.
