Great idea. It should increase the drop amount for each level by 2, and drop 30 at L1.
Also, they will gradually drop DE while they take more damage. Example:
King has taken 100 damage, he drops 1 drop of dark elixir.
That way you could still benefit from this even if the hero doesn't completely die.
Firstly I really do like the idea that we should profit on Hero's, for one it would mean people may look after them and respect them bit more when defending or attacking with them. And i think it would be absolutely possible. All you would have to do is code in a new object "Hero grave". This works under the rules in that it is deployed in the exact location where a hero dies, your base or an enemies. Now i know people are going to say "so if you get attacked you can farm your ownHero's grave for DE". Yes you can. Regardless of if during the defence the attacker managed to get any DE from a mine, or a storage (which a lot of times they will, so its rare farming a defensive hero grave will result in a net profit of De). But also THIS is your hero unit!! He's allowed to be a little bit powerful And with the reincarnation system i am suggesting in a moment it makes sense as it would work as if you manage to savour a little bit of your Hero's dark elixir blood from the grave, the one small solace you have from being attacked.
Reincarnation mechanic - Also, to make it make sense all you would have to do is change the dynamic slightly on hero death, so instead of getting knocked out unconscious, they die. But because they are hero units they have the power from the gods and are reincarnated via a beam of angelic light onto the their corresponding hero pad, same timers, same gameplay just a slightly different way to re spawn. Still perceived as very powerful beings (reincarnation). Same mechanic just presented differently. This would mean that there is a large amount of DE in fluxing into the economy, but i think this could be balanced with very specific changes to certain levels of DE expenditures, be it hero levelling, or DE troops etc. Also individual gravestones for each hero unit. Completely viable suggestion. 100% behind OP, and it makes sense instead of just going dizzy and giving nothing.
Oh yeah and if you want to toggle your hero from sleep to attack like we can now. Its the same its just Transcend (turn into light particles and shoot up wards in a beam leaving the pad empty) and then Worship/Pray to bring themback again ( same angelic light beam shoots them back down and materialises them on pad). I just think its a more "powerful hero" or even Demi god whatever system instead of these stars....I kinda not into the stars if I'm honest.
I think it is a great idea and gives a bonus to the person defending.
