Soon to be th8 with questions

I know you guys in this subforum probably answer questions like these a lot, but please try not to get annoyed

The scenario: I'm going to th8 as a fully maxed out th7, except for these things: walls are all lvl6, never researched rage to lvl4 and minions and hogs to lvl2, my barbarian king is still lvl1, and my DE storage is still lvl1.

The questions:

1.) I'm saving up a stockpile of elixer and debating about getting the DE drill or upgrading my lab. Which one should I do first?

2.) I'm going to build my third air defense and all my new walls, what else should I build/upgrade (keep in mind that I have 4 builders)

3.) I need a good farming range and attack strategy for th8. School is starting soon, so I don't care if it takes too long to cook

4.) Any tips or advice for th8 is appreciated

I also have a problem with my clan. My clan is a 24/7 war clan, but school is starting, as I mentioned earlier. I really like my clan, and have fun chatting with them. But since school is starting, I can't be on often to do my regular dragon attacks... what should I do? For those of you saying "it's only 6 minutes", my elixer production won't be able to support it. I only have enough elixir for dragon attacks because I raid often

Lab definitely! I got my DE drill rather late but it is maxed for TH8 now and still does not really give much DE to matter. Just do that lab first so you can get those lv 5 troops ASAP!

2.) I'm going to build my third air defense and all my new walls, what else should I build/upgrade (keep in mind that I have 4 builders) When I started out as a TH8 I got everything built before upgrading everything. I would guess doing the quicker stuff first would be best. If you want have one builder open on the side for walls as you wait.

3.) I need a good farming range and attack strategy for th8. School is starting soon, so I don't care if it takes too long to cook Just use BARCH (Barbarians and archers) and stay within Gold league. Look for bases with exposed storages or full collectors.

4.) Any tips or advice for th8 is appreciated Get those splash defenses maxed out as soon as you can! They can really help in defending your base and in keeping higher level players away (though they will always still raid you of course).

Answers and advice in bold. :)

Lab always first. For farming anywhere from silver 1 to gold 1

I think the lab should be your first elixir upgrade, then maybe your spell factory. After that I would build the drill and upgrade it to level 3 ASAP Since you won't be on as often it will probably be your main source of DE. It'll get you 1,080 a day.

Hi! The most important thing to do at town hall 8 is to max out EVERYTHING before upgrading, including walls. This is because you will suffer from big loot penalties at town hall 9. I would get your de drill first, because it will give you lots of de.

Barch farming in 1400-1600 is great for th8s, you will find plenty of bases with juicy collectors. You want to be attacking th7s and premie th8s for collector raids, so if you see too many th9s, drop down a bit, and if you see too many th6s, go up a bit.

for your clan problem: Now that you are at th8, you can get Pekkas and Golems. I would switch to the Go-Wipe attack strategy, since it is cheaper and actually more effective than mass drags! Your elixer pumps should be making enough elixer for you, and if you upgrade your drill to level 2, you will be producing enough for your golems.

2. WTs and Mortars
3. 1500-1999 using BArch
4. Upgrade your walls so that once you hit TH9, you could get legos.

No! You should NOT be wasting DE on golems at th8. Golems are meant for late th9 and th10 where you're looting massive amounts of DE. Maxed de drill for th8 will net you 45 de per hour. That's one golem in 10 hours IF no one raids you. Meanwhile you have no de left to upgrade your barb king, which is way way more important since he's essentially useless until lvl 5

I actually just upgraded golem, and how could that be a waste? :/ btw most people get lv5 BK at TH7 you know. You can't just depend on collectors

1. Lab first.
2. Splash damage and AD
3. Gold 3 and Gold 2
4. Build and upgrade the drill.

Lab first, when i was th8 i was in gold II

When making bases for th8 make mortars and air defenses in a triangle.

For the wars, is your clan full of kids or mostly adults?? If there are kids they will make it too one war a week or two. (they will see that not that many people will attack)

I forgot my army for th8.

when you get th8 build everything then upgrade it to the rest of your buildings lvl.
