Farming composition using level 6 GIANTS?

Hello Clashers,

I am going to get the great level 6 GIANTS today and I am very excited about it. So, I am thinking of doing farming using the giants now onwards. I just wanted know, if we have a farming guide based on that or any good video tutorial? I have seen some threads on this forum but they are not that detailed enough, so I had to create a new post for that. It would be very helpful if some could share the links. Since, I am going to use giants for a long run, I want to know every detailed aspect of this farming strategy using level 6 giants, so if we have a video tutorial based on that it would be even great.

i personally stopped using giants for awhile, but ive heard giwiwi works well.
giants wiz witch for pushing

i used to run 20 giants with 2 heals and clean up crew,
easy to get into crystal 2 with

now im running hybrid barch farm, mainly going for de.

using 2 raxs all archer
1 raxs all giant
1 raxs 4 wbs, 25 gob 25 barbs, if i still have wbs from previous attack dont recook em.

I was excited when I got level 6 giants as well, used them for a bit and stopped because I hadn't used giants in forever. I recently started using giants again to farm for DE and it has been using well. For each raid I use 16 giants, 8 WB's, 84 Archers and 40 Barbs + 1 heal spell if needed. This is effective against most TH8's and lower level TH9's and trains fairly quickly (minus the spell).

Lvl 6 giants are great.

12 giants
8 wbs
32 gobs
32 barbs
80 archers

Use a heal if necessary. I typically carry 2 heals, 1 jump and 1 lightning, but rarely need to use more than 1 heal. You could add more giants if you want.

Once I've taken out a good percentage of the base, you can drop royals. By this point, they hardly take any damage and the queen can reach any storages you've missed. I queue 20 archers in each rax before I attack, since archers are the most used.

Thanks so much for your reply Dan. Right now I am trying different variation of this army like:-

8 giants
8 wbs
40 gobs
40 barbs
84 archers

and in each rax 2 giants, 2 wb, 10 gobs, 10 barbs, 21 archers

I will also try out your army composition too and see how it works out for me.

16 giants, 10 wbs, 66 gobs, a healer, 4 barbs and the rest arch. I used all heal (average a spell a raid), but you can carry a rage too if you like. The strategy is simple: giants and wbs open up a path to the resources, gobs take the resources. The healer isn't too useful against good th 9s, but it can save you a spell or two against weak th 9s or th 8s.

That is a good composition. I too have tried using 8 giants, but in my experience, it's nice to have a few extra giants in case you hit too many spring traps.

2 Wiz, 3 giants, 3 wb in each barrack the rest barbs/archers. - DE combo throw in a heal/rage

Seems like a nice army. Will try this out too. Thanks for sharing it :)

i used 12 giants,12 walll breakers and rest barbarian and archer in equal proportion......
took half an hour to train....
id make 7-8 million a day like that

There are many combinations you can try out with giants. Level 6 giants being very good for tanking means you don't need as much as the lower levels.

I have a list of a few armies i like to use, all have advantages/disadvantages:

Set up #1 (my personal favorite) Time to build: approx 22mins
8 giants
86 barbarians
86 archers
4 wall breakers

The reason this setup is my favorite is because it has some tank & a good amount of power to it & it is simply easy to use. 8 giants may not seem like a lot but it can tank very well on th8-lower-end th9. This set-up is great for most resource farming. (add king/queen as you see fit) This is also my favorite because if you come upon an inactive base, you can choose to simply use barbarians & archers & save giants/breakers so you save 6 mins on rebuilding.

Set up #2 Time to build: approx 16mins
8 giants
56 barbarians
56 archers
30 minions
4 wall breakers

This strategy is quick & relatively easy! It has a short build time making it quite good for farming gold quickly. The downside of this set up is that it is a bit harder to break through due to a lack of barbarians. However the minions are great for reaching containers of gold. (note: not a good set-up for Dark Elixir farming)

Set up #3 Time to build: approx 22.5mins
12 giants
76 barbarians
76 archers
4 wall breakers

This is similar to the first set-up, you simply switch out barb/archers for more giants which means more tanking power. This is a great set-up to break into strong compartments. It is very similar to the first set-up & is great to any type of resource.

Set-up #4 Time to build: approx 38 mins
16 Giants
2 healers
52 archers
8 wizards
4-8 wall breakers

This set-up has a lot of power but also takes quite a bit of time to build. Healers can also be a bit tricky & frustrating.

Set-up #5 Time to build: approx 44 mins
20 giants
12 wizards
56 archers
8 wall breakers

This is my personal favorite for when you are dealing with stronger bases. It does take quite a long time to build but it has a lot of tank & fire power. Used with 4 heal spells correctly, this set-up can destroy many strong th9 bases. Make sure to have spells with you & make sure the giants take most of the damage or else you may end up losing.

10 giants, 12 hogs, 3 healers. 60 archers rest wizards. this is kinda like gowiwi, instead of golem use giant, instead of witch use archers. 2 heal spells for hogs and rage for your giants/wizards.

Yeah, I am trying different variations of it and now that wiz cost and training time is reduced, I am thinking about giving the last one a try. Hope it would work out well after few pratice. :D

My standard army since I've started has consisted of 4 units (and here is my current composition for Army Camp spacing of 220)
Giants x16
Wall Breakers x16
Archers x60
Goblins x48

I'm a maxed TH9, about to go to TH10, and this army has always given me what I need to earn enough loot to always have my builders busy and has helped me farm my lvl9 walls.

I might change it up, but for now:

20 Lvl6 Giants
8 Lvl5 wallbreakers
50 Lvl6 Archers
54 Lvl6 Barbs
Lvl7 BK/AQ

4 maxed healing spells (only if available loot is each 600K total)

Farming with Giants is quite a good way to farm. When did I try to farm with Giants ? When I needed DE. If you need DE and you will need quite quickly when you progress. The difference between barch farming and farming with Giants is the need to penetrate into the base. Why? As I said in order to reach DE.

So what I came up as a comp was the below:

16 Giants
3 WB
52 Archers
52 Barbs
4 Hogs

You dont need gobs or healers. Gobs for me are either too weak and healers take forever to make and they die like so quickly you wonder if you really should have waited so much for them.

Spells you need are 2 rage and 2 heal. or 1 Rage 3 heal to compensate for the healer. I personally used 2 of each.

The main aspect of the above comp is in relation to the clan castle. Depending on your attack style you can ask for wizards or hogs. But I would generally ask for more lvl 6 giants.

I used the 4 hogs to lure out the clan castle troops. And they also clean out 1 or two defenses in the meantime as well.

With the above you cannot miss out on farming. I came to max TH9 withthe above so quickly that I didnt even believe it. :)=

By the way in case any of you are wandering I am TH9 max on all defenses... doing lego walls at Level 111 going on to TH10 in 7 days.

the final compositor varies depending on what you used on the last attack, but normally, it is 12 giants, 70 archers,65 barbs, 8 wbs.

Been using this to farm DE as th9. Works very well. Currently have 1.6mil HH.
