Loaning Someone Resources

Hello,

I recently had the idea that you could loan someone gold/elixir for their upgrades and such. Then later on they could pay it to you back, in payments or in total, like in the real world. Of course, this would have to be moderated, and there would have to be limits and modertions. These include a max amount of gold/elixir you can donate/ask for and especially, a cool down period. This is to ensure someone doesn't ask for loans 20 times a day from 20 different people. Also, you should only be able to ask people from your clan for resources.

Any ability to transfer resources directly (such as loans or donations) is likely to result in abuse. Also what would the game do when someone intentionally spends their money so that they can repay a loan? This will also result in begging for money. If interest is involved, people will donate as much as possible to get relatively easy money or use it as an opportunity to keep their resource safe with someone else

Donating/trading resources is ruled out so this probably falls under that category too

This idea is suggested multiple times, plus, it's ruled out. And if the idea worked, people would just start giving each other resources for upgrades, the game would escalate too quickly.

It would be really nice if it worked but i agree with the people before, it just wouldn't work :(

I think Sirix's reply explains just fine why this idea will not be sustainable in this game. I think with most ideas, you can usually weed them out by asking yourself two questions:

1) can this idea be abused?
2) will this benefit players (keeping game balance) without affecting SC's profits?

If 1 is ever a yes and 2 is ever a no, you automatically know that the idea will not work.
