"Pull" donations instead of "Push"

I doubt this is a new idea, but here goes anyway...

How many times have you heard somebody say "I have an extra dragon/pekka/whatever I want to get rid of". Then that person has to wait around until someone wants it, or just go get rid of it at the goblins.

Right now donations are "push" - you have to send them to someone who is requesting them. Being able to "pull" would be nice too. For example, if we could click "Donate" on troops (up to the 5 limit we have for sending to an individual) and it would put them in clan chat with an "Accept" button similar to the one you get when someone wants to join the clan. Anyone could accept them (assuming of course they had not received troops from you in the last 20 minutes) and you had space.

The troops would remain in your barracks until they were taken. Also, any troops not already created after you log off couldn't be donated this way.

I don't know if the details are doable but I like the idea as I dislike waiting for someone to need troops I don't want. The goblin maps are not an acceptable option for high level troop wasting in my opinion.

I know the reason why this is not allowed in the game.

SC wants everyone to be as active as possible. That is why allowing donating of troops without even having your game open makes increasing your donations too easy, allowing people to complete their FIN achievement too easy (winning themselves a bunch of gems) and also would inflate your experience level.

Bottom line is SC wants you ONLINE, and implementing "pull" donations would counteract that initiative.

Exactly. I can just put 10 dragons up and walk away. Log in, put 10 dragons up, log out.

Donations and Clans are meant to be a benefit of the social aspect of Clash of Clans. By allowing this feature to work like this, you are removing the social aspect of castle donations.
