TH8-9 Strategy- WiVaPe

When the new update came out, I immediately started using valkaries. I made a strategy to almost guarentee a 3 star with 4 troop types: WB, Wiz, Valk, and PEKKA. I am 2 and 3 starring TH9's in CW with TH8 level troops, since I'm still a new TH9. My valks and PEKKAs are level one, too, so that means that this is a powerful strategy. First, here are the numbers.
2 rage
1 heal
15 WB (just in case)
14 Wizards
2 PEKKA
8 Valkaries
I almost never use my CC with this strategy, so whatever you want there
Heroes almost vital

Now we got that down, the base type you want to attack is condensed, but not a lot of wall segments if possible. If a lot of wall segments, still attackable, but less favorable.

Now the strategy:

1. First, lure CC with walbreakers. This step is not vital because 3 of your 4 troop types are splash. But, it is recommended.
2. Kill CC with a wizard or two if lured.
3. Clear outside buildings with wizards to make sure valks/wizzes go to center.
4. Break open first wall segment.
5. Send out imm this order: Wallbreakers, (only half) PEKKAs, Valkaries, Heroes. (BK always first if TH9) Wizards, rest of Wallbreakers. Place 1st Rage to completely destroy the first layer, the Heal and 2nd Rage when in center. Iron Fist as needed.

If TH9:

2 Rage Spell
1 Heal Spell
1 Jump Spell
9 Wallbreakers (inclusion of Jump Spell means you need less wallbreakers)
22 Wizards
2 PEKKA
8 Valkarie

Same strategy, just that the jump spell should be a link w/ rage to go to the center.

Edits:

The skeleton trap update is irrelevent torwards this strategy (IE Valkarie splash damage). May take a second or two to get them out of the way, though.

For more efficient funneling, you may want to clear all the buildings with Wizards EXCEPT the ones close to the gap you opened with your WB. The valks will see that and go for it easier.

This might be good, but I fail to see why valkyries are crucial. It seems to me that wizards and pekkas could be used with a lot of different troops and still be successful. Good use for valkyries though, and good attack strategy.

This indeed. Why not leave out the valkyries and bring extra wiz?

for the people questioning the importantce of valks, they act as both a golem and a pushing force. Trust me, I have tried GoWiPe before. It felt sluggish to me, getting me only 2 stars every time. Having valks here makes it a lot better, trust me on that.

Can you post some videos of attacks? Would be very helpful to understand how you are attacking.

This seems like a great idea will definetly try it out. Haha might even be enoug to encourage me to upgrade my Valks if it works well, lol.

Never understood why people made such a big deal in finding a use for valks.

1. There are a lot of different ways to get two stars on a th9 with th8 troops.

2. If you have lvl 1 valks and lvl 1 pekkas and you're three starring th9s, they are either a premie base or have a terrible layout which bring us to point #3

3. If this works best on bases that are condensed, but not many wall segments, these people you're attacking probably don't have a clue how to make a decent base. If a base is condensed it should generally have many compartments.

4. This thread is irrelevant. Move on people.

Irrelevant means in ELI5 terms not connected with the topic. In this sense the topic is strategies, and this is a strategy so it is relevant.

Is it useful? That's what the debate should have been.

i know people want valks to be good, but they're not

in this strategy your wizards are still doing all the damage. you might as well get some tanks that dont run way up ahead and die because they're not really tanks, leaving your wizards to die because there's no tanks.

i dont see how conceptually valks fit in here at all.

to say they act as a golem is ridiculous. a golem has literally 9 times the hp without even factoring the splitting effect or that AOE's aren't getting stacked. plus they're immune to spring traps.

to say they act like a pusher ... yeah they do. which is bad because your wizards get left behind whereas the golem will always go towards defenses and draw fire.

I'm making, statistically speaking, the most probable assumptions since that is all we can do given OP has not provided us with any pictures, videos, etc. As far as grammar goes, I'm not debating that on here. Your bringing it up is irrelevant. You are irrelevant.

You can't make any probable assumption so you shouldn't even try, otherwise you'll look bad.

Also, me bringing it up is relevant, since it is a direct response to your earlier comments concerning this thread. Therefore, calling me irrelevant isn't insulting even though you want it to be.

Last Clanwar we were against a high lvl clan that for some strange reason used Pekkas combined with Valkyries and Wizzies, I got attacked 3 times and best attack was 47% without TH. Cant really say how that army will do against TH9 but IMO sounds pretty meh. I mean you could use giants or golems instead of Valks as well, Pekkas and wiz are always a good combo, as you have a unit in front that draws fire (and in case of the pekka, deals a ton of dmg) and wizards in the back doing the work.

It does not work, there are no meat shields, yes valks can push harder than golems, but the reason for golems is to take DMG off wiz and pekka, that is why gowipe, and govape are viable, but not wivape.

Even if this is an old thread, people read these, and if someone tells them it works, but it doesn't work for them I would like them to know why. Yes, sometimes this strategy can work, but it has many limits.
