Clash runs very hot and kills my nexus 7 battery
As per title. I know other people have some success by under clocking their device, and clash would still run fine. This means the problem is not really clash needing to use a lot of CPU time.
I enabled the CPU monitor in the developer options menu. The graph shows user, system and interrupt time in real time overlaid on the screen. This confirms that clash uses some CPU but not loads - however when clash is running, interrupt time (the blue part of the graph) is really high. If supercell could figure out why clash is causing so many interrupts, android power usage would be similar to that on iOS.
Screenshot below shows the graph. Blue is interrupts and it stays sustained at a high level, whereas the green and red parts (user and system time) are often lower than shown.
