When you press on someones name in the global chat area there should be a "Private message" option!
So that you can message them and ask them questions and not have to worry about other peoples messages getting in the way! :)

This is a good idea, but has been suggested multiple times before.
Way too easily abused...

No. It wouldn't be abused.
Because, there would be a limit on how many messages one person can receive!
Say there is a limit of 10 messages. The "Private Message" button would un-clickable, until some of the messages have been read. And the message has a time limit on it of say 24 hours. If the message is not viewed in that time period then it will be automatically deleted!
