You're right, there's no instantaneous boost going to TH10. Not only do the upgrades cost like 6-8m, they also take 10 days per upgrade. and elixir is going to be really really tight, labs and army camps all cost elixir. So it's going to take at least a month before you start seeing improvement on your offense.

BUT, it's not like that's going to change if you max TH9. You still have to do the initial grind for TH10. So I'd rather do the grind sooner than later.

as for defense, I'd rather get 2 inferno towers then getting xbows from lvl1-3. you know? but again, defending your loot have more to do with planning your upgrades and using loot then your actual levels on your defense towers.

Best upgrade is TH10 by far is because it provides me with the most flexibility. If you go to TH10 with everything maxed... everything in TH10 is going to cost 6m+, so there's no way to keep all builders busy unless you play like a mad man. So by going to TH10 early, I can even out the upgrades and progress at a more constant pace.

That's also the reason why I have like lvl5/6/7/8 ATs, cannons and other towers, my base don't look as sexy but because they all finish at different times, I can manipulate their build time to my advantage and really plan out the builders. this is the main reason I can get close to 90% TH snipes and lose almost no loot in master league.


I never hear anyone talk about this, but I think it's like THE most important tip for COC. but it's not popular because it's not specific advice, there's no order, it's not like you get AQ first, then lab, then army camp. It's something people have to figure out for themselves by everyone is in a different situation.

to me, the most important th10 item is the inferno towers. They protect the DE very well. It makes saving that much better. Th9 ballonions are enough for me to farm most th9 and weak th10s

Ok thx a lot, you and ash inspired me to farm DE and to do this "brain rush". I'm still worried about going into th10 because i'm low with trophies, but i understand greatness of this strategy and the power of win bonuses in master leagues..

Im rushing th10. Im catching a lot of flack in global about it but my clan seems to stand behind me.

I made my clan a little over a year ago and have had mostly the same loyal members since. After playing for over a year now, all I really do is collect my mines, fight in war, and troll global to see if the ppl recruiting will give me full leader instead of the free elder they offer, I usually tell em that I might give em elder, but no guarantees, haha, cheap thrills.

My reasons.. As mentioned above, I dont farm anymore, so the penalty doesnt affect me. My co's make the rules, I approve them, elders enforce them. My upgrade is for war matching. The in game faq doesnt mention th lvl in base str calculation. I will only buy infernos, spell and research. Im hoping this will not raise base strength too much but will enable me to attack bigger targets in war, and with infernos ill keep those pesky th9s off my base in war.

Ive seen much more premies at th10 than ill be but i still know im going early. I did max all other th lvls.

Weve all been programmed to max th lvl b4 upgrading. Its like the secret recipe to success and what sets apart the elitists from the non. That, I feel is true in normal gameplay, but clan wars changed my view on that matter.

Listen, I saw my friends account and he has all pink and purple walls, with some skulls. Defenses are one or two below max. He is a TH10. I laughed at his walls, but he showed me his defense logs and replays. He has 2 L3 ITs and L2-3 x-bows. No one can touch him, except a th10 with max troops and even then, they need to bring the noise to get even a small piece of his loot. My mouth dropped, watching people fail, who tried to raid him. WAAYYYY more powerful than a max walled/defense TH9 would be. He goes to bed and wakes up a league higher.

Level 7 giants now. Just facerolls over people offensively. No one even attacks him in war. I'm only at TH8(maxed TH7), but definitely makes me want to get to TH10 sooner than later. Can't imagine staying at TH9, grinding walls.

It's better to stay at th 9 grinding legos. At th 10 loot is worse so might as well get a couple legos done. It's true the troops are better but rushing to th 10 is bad. Plus you're friend is probably attacked a lot because he is considered a premie. If anyone has loot they will probably get attacked and lose some of that loot. I don't think i believe about what you are saying about you're friend. He must be getting hit hard occasionally. Show me a pic of his base.

I agree with rushing to th10 a little to help with clan wars & I don't think farming will be effected once infernos are built. Its a win-win to me.

the infernos will make you jump above pretty much any TH9 I think lol.

There's still a lot of very important upgrades in TH9 that you don't want to skip, but maxing TH9 is almost as long as TH10 (longer DE upgrades actually). I just don't think maxing TH9 sets you up better at TH10.
