Finally got all skull walls + 10 legos. I have pretty much only been upgrading my collectors, drills and heroes in the last little bit.

I haven't upgraded any defense lately because my base seems to be able to fend off attacks pretty well already. I've been experimenting with some trophy bases just for the lols, and one of the bases got me more than 50% defenses in master league, which even I was kinda surprised about.

I ended up gemming my heroes a couple times in the last couple days because I maxed out my DE again.

I don't mind gemming now because I feel like I've already proved my point, game is just easy now, no more hurdles to jump through... that's it, it's just smooth sailing from now on. lol

Maxing TH10 is going to be a long grind, so there's no need to go crazy and then get burned out later. So I plan to take it easy in the next couple months, hence I've been upgrading the collectors/drills.

Anyway, I took a screenshot of my base everyday since I begun this journey (level 60), so if anyone want to see what my progression was at at certain level. feel free to ask.

Do you only use barch to farm ??

this is impressive. I want to go to th10 already. Should i come in with full gold/elixir to upgrade lab and get infernos asap??

im not sure if my base is ready.

Yes only barch.

Full storage is best, but also the last 5 (or was it 10?) missions in single player also helps A LOT.

All the useful upgrades all takes ridiculous amounts of resources and build time, so there's going to be a long adaptation period. That's the only downside and it scares a lot of people... but honestly, it's not like just because you maxed TH9, all of a sudden inferno towers are going to take 3 days to build instead of 14, you know? so you might as well get rid of the painful stuff first.

the only real requirement for TH10 is if you can farm other TH10s. that's it really. even if you come into th10 with no loot, as long as you can continue to farm, then there's 0 problems.

I figured barch is about doing collector raids and the bump archers get from lvl 5 to 6 isnt worth it, so I didnt raise them. If i was at master or higher, they would help farm the bonus, but i dont hang out so high up in league. All wiz towers are maxed, so are mortars. CC maxed and all defenses are 1 lvl below max. Do you think my base will do fine, or do i need lvl 6 barch ??Thanks in advanced. Both heroes lvl 10.

what trophy range do you farm at? I think TH10 have best loot but only if you farm other TH10s, TH9 just have more flexibility. if you stay in gold league, you can still be in TH10, but you just have to press even more nexts.

as for defense, even if you maxed all your defenses at TH9, a good TH10 attack can still easily 3 star you. so it's more about planning out your builders and using all the loot you get. That will reduce your chances of getting attacked more than leveling your ATs 1 level higher.

so it's not necessarily about your defense being ready, you'll never be ready, it's about managing risks and reducing your chances of getting attacked.

Your balloonions are much better than even level7 barch imo, why not just stick with what you know? Again not sure what trophy range you want to farm at, but if you want to farm in master 2, you have to win pretty much 100% of your matches, because every time you log off you lose 4-20 trophies, and with a win with barch it's only 4-10 trophies, so you need to get at least 3 attacks in before you logoff just to maintain trophies. with balloonions, you can get 2 stars and probably net more loot per raid, but obviously you will be raiding less... and you definitely want a farming base lol

I been trying out trophy bases lately, even the best one i got where i get over 50% defenses, I still lose like 3k de per raid. so farming base is the way to go, especially in TH9 or new TH10. but with trophy base, I don't get instantly attack after logging off. so I can actually go a take a dump, eat a sandwich, take my girl out come back and still raid lol.

If I were to redo ths, I'd probably spend 18 days in TH7 and 1 month in TH8.

I would probably farm crystal II or I. Even masters III. I currently hang around 1980-2040. Its my sweet spot for elixir and DE. I dont barch anymore, i prefer playing less and going for storages or DE strikes. After all, offense the most important thing in the game. I want to max heroes asap. Ill move to th 10 soon (; thanks for the input.

I've followed your guide and your advices upgrading from th8 to th9 and absolutely i don't regret my choice, attacks are easier and the loot is so good. I understand reason behind this strategy: with AQ's help, from the first moment of th9 things got easier. But... is same thing about th9->th10? (this is not a rhetorical/ironic question XD)
Army camps to lvl 8 cost a lot and there isn't an instantaneously offence power up like AQ for th9. Is easy to outdo these early difficult moments? Until researches for lvl 7 troops are finished..

Now i've AQ lvl 8, BK lvl 5, CC lvl 5, xboxs lvl 1, 2 mortars lvl 7 and 2 lvl 6, WTs lvl 6, ADs lvl 6, tesla lvl 3, cannons lvl 10, AT lvl 8/9, walls: x5 lvl 6, x215 lvl 7, x29 lvl 8, drills lvl 4, main "farm" troops maxed (but minions lvl 4).
Can i jump to th10? What strategy can i follow?

EDIT: i'm in C3 right now and even with the "low" win bonus, i perfectly understand your choice to stay in M2.. now i've 50 attacks won, so 35k/35k/100 x 50 = 1,75kk/1,75kk/5k only by bonus! It's huge!
At the same time, i don't think i can reach or stay in masters, i think my barch skill isn't enough for that. Can i stay in crystal leagues or is not worth it?

perfectly understandable. TH10 doesn't give you more DE, it's the higher trophy ranges that does, it's just that TH10 gives you stronger troops to farm at higher trophy ranges.

Crystal league have mostly TH9 and TH10s right? so by going to TH10, you'll just lose 10% loot from TH9s which is not a big deal but that's something.

You're right, there's no instantaneous boost going to TH10. Not only do the upgrades cost like 6-8m, they also take 10 days per upgrade. and elixir is going to be really really tight, labs and army camps all cost elixir. So it's going to take at least a month before you start seeing improvement on your offense.

BUT, it's not like that's going to change if you max TH9. You still have to do the initial grind for TH10. So I'd rather do the grind sooner than later.

as for defense, I'd rather get 2 inferno towers then getting xbows from lvl1-3. you know? but again, defending your loot have more to do with planning your upgrades and using loot then your actual levels on your defense towers.

With that said however.

Best upgrade is TH10 by far is because it provides me with the most flexibility. If you go to TH10 with everything maxed... everything in TH10 is going to cost 6m+, so there's no way to keep all builders busy unless you play like a mad man. So by going to TH10 early, I can even out the upgrades and progress at a more constant pace.

That's also the reason why I have like lvl5/6/7/8 ATs, cannons and other towers, my base don't look as sexy but because they all finish at different times, I can manipulate their build time to my advantage and really plan out the builders. this is the main reason I can get close to 90% TH snipes and lose almost no loot in master league.


I never hear anyone talk about this, but I think it's like THE most important tip for COC. but it's not popular because it's not specific advice, there's no order, it's not like you get AQ first, then lab, then army camp. It's something people have to figure out for themselves by everyone is in a different situation.
