Please can someone give me advice on the best way to defeat those damn xbows. Should I try lightning spells? How about dragons? I find that they kill my troops too quickly for me to get much resources!

Thanks, just saw this now.strange,eh! Still doesn't explain best way to deal with xbows, or should we just ignore those bases?
Lol at the coincidence, I thought this was the same thread. Meh, I like raiding bases with their xbows just beside them mortars and wt. I find I can get close to those two easier with xbows around than without them. Of course those days are numbered because they said they're gonna fix the dancing wizard in the next update but really I think it's much more beneficial for us farmers to have it stay that way. What we can lose in defense due to it couldn't be more than what we can raid from those bases that are victims of the dancing wizard. Granted I'm at th8 but even when I finally go up, it's still the same, at worse I can only lose 300k in defense, I certainly loot much more than that but I'd lose some raid prospects once the "glitch" is fixed.
Speed is key against xbows, I only go for them if there is an un segmented core of resource goodness. Also if they have lvl 7 mortars and wizard towers as well I usually skip. But xbows and under leveled towers I can usually score the loot if I can quickly wall break into he core, spam troops, and maybe drop a rage.
I am th7 with lv4 troops, and I drop a giant followed by barbs and archers. By I highly recommend not taking on dual lv3 x-bow th9's:p
