Add More Collector Levels
Before you read, keep in mind that I read all the threads about cancelled out ideas and did not see this one, so please don't jump on my back if this has been mentioned before.
the other day I was talking to a fellow clan mate about getting loot as a higher townhall. Being townhall 8, I've already noticed that the collectors-especially when you're being attacked every day-take forever to collect the amount you need for upgrades. Though most of you would think "oh just attack people to get the loot" or "do clan wars," I've found that when collecting elixor it is almost impossible to get the amount you need by attacking. Maybe It's just the troops I use, or maybe I'm just not attacking the right people, but whatever it is I can't seem to come out with more elixor than I started. Even with cheap troops, three spells alone cost almost 90000 elixor. Add on the troops, and you would have to steal around 130-150 thousand elixor. Let alone the fact that using the cheapest troops makes it alone harder to get that 150 thousand elixor.
As as for doing clan wars, it is a similar situation. Attack a base to gain loot. The only difference is, winning the battle becomes the priority, which in turn calls for stronger troops. Stronger troops, as we all know, cost more. So do more powerful spells. Plus the fact that you are executing two of these costly attacks in a 24-hour time span (if you are an active member, that is,) you will end up spending 200 thousand elixor or more. That's all good and fine if you win the war. You break even, maybe even make a small profit. But what if you lose? Then what? That's a question I end up asking a lot, being in a clan that rarely wins. How can I remake the elixor I spent on dragons and numerous spells with the minuscule loot compensation a player receives following defeat. That's right, I can't. So while wars can be profitable, they can also be a complete waste.
I'm only a townhall 8, so I can only imagine what it might be like for a townhall 10. They can't get that extra loot from attacking higher town halls, and their upgrades are far more costly than ones of a townhall 8, yet they are stuck with the same collectors. That is why I am here today, proposing that super cell add more levels of collectors for higher level townhalls. People I've talked to told me this will not happen because supercell wants people to be encouraged to use gems for upgrades at townhalls 9 and 10, but, while it sounds reasonable, I feel like they have enough revenue already to make this small change.
TL:DR Collectors don't produce enough for higher level upgrades and attacks aren't always profitable.
