Many of us are farmers, and often leave our THs minimally protected or even on the far corners of the map. Personally, I'll still be protecting my storages, but for people attacking me, sniping my TH for an easy victory and easy bonus loot might be enough. ZachUVA says the farming ranges might shift up, and I'm already starting to see that. If you get a few trophies and bonus loot from me, that's fine, as long as it doesn't come out of my pocket. I won't be re-organizing my base until TH9.
Won't change my layout at all. But then again, my TH is inside my walls even if I am currently resource hunting.
hmm never really thought about where all this extra resources are going to come from. If SC just creates it and gives it away (for the bonuses) they will just flood the game with resources. I think the bonus recourses should come from the person being attacked. It wont effect anyone but farmers, which SC is trying to get away from.
I think if it comes from the defender, it would just promote trophy dropping and preying on lower level THs. Lets say there's normally a penalty if I attack a TH6/7, but if I 100% that base, then the penalty would be erased. If its just 10k gold in the 1500s for a win, that isn't terribly noticeable. The bonus coming from SC isn't enough to flood the market, and newer upgrades are super costly, which I suppose might be seen as a form of inflation. So, you could be partly right. I guess we'll have to see what the final numbers are.Quote:

In this case, sacrificing your town hall remainss the cheapest way to buy a shield and provided you simply attack more than you defend, you should be able to pick your trophy level provided you're not trying to climb into the high 2000s.
Very much waiting on details of the system. I applaud them for trying to make trophies more meaningful, but am unconvinced that this update is going to do it. On the other hand, just releasing more loot into the game is a welcome change on its own. So even if they don't fix the problem they're intending to fix, I think the league update likely only has upside for the game.
I will just jam the TH against my outside walls.
I am fairly confident that the bonus loot will not come from the defender, but will be added into the system. So this really shouldn't change anyone's build, since they won't be losing any more loot than they normally would.
I just built a hybrid base, that way I can both farm, or I can trophy hunt if need be without redoing my base.
I would wait on details on this specific part of the new update before even entertaining the thought of changing up my base. The fact that the bonus loot might come from me just makes me want to farm more. But it seems like hybrid bases are the way to go, like baconman mentioned.
