Just curious, what spells do you guys typically carry around when you farm? As a TH8 I would usually carry around 3 lightning spells just in case I needed to quickly take out a mortar to bail me out on a raid. I'm a TH9 right now and my spell factory literally just finished, so I'm curious as to what spells TH9 BArchers usually keep with them.
Well, when I Barch as a TH9 for farming purposes I tend to take 3 Heals and 1 Rage
Im TH9 and I take 2 lightning 1 rage and 1 jump. The jump means that I dont have to bring wb. The lightning are for cc troops and mines/drills that are in the middle. The rage is for raging over storages that are bunched up or DE storage. Hope this helps :)

i take all 4 lightning, reason: can destroy splash defenses (critical for barching); take half DE on storage; destroy mines, collectors, or DE drills in abandoned base if can't be reach by barch; get 50% in some hard cases..

I bring 3x lightning for CC troops and the occasional WT.
Level 6 barbs, level 5 archers. 8 WB, 90 Barbs, Rest archers.
I take 4 lightning. 2 takes out most mortars, also clutch 50% by taking the builders huts or the hero bases.
That way I can keep queuing up the spells when they are used and keep attacking
I try not to use them though, because I am farming and two lightnings wipe out the profit from most bases

Still TH8...all rage, all the time. Use a modified barch with wbs/gobs, rage helps punch into cores and then take down stores quicker.
I'm lvl 107 TH9 almost max and I have only just started Barching/Bamming. (I KNOW , IDIOT AYE). I take 2 rage and 2 jump. These spells give this strat real flexibillity as you wont have to pass up on some de storages you may have in the past.They actually give you more options when choosing which base to raid. I take 2 but will only use one of each per raid max. And while they are cooking you have the other two to keep you going so your farming need not slow down. Only having four spells I think carrying lightning is a waste as there are other ways to deal with cc. If your that worried take a valk and start new strat .... Barlk.Quote:

I rarely use spells for Barch. Barch is supposed to be fast and efficient not costing a lot. I usually do 2 rage, 1 heal, 1 lightning. I only use spells if I really really need 50% or a lot of loot thats hard to get.
Same so, 2 rage 2 heal
But will think about trying jump :)
i do 1 heal 2 rage..
4 heals always queued but rarely used unless I want to get to storages.

I now carry 2 Lightning + 1 Rage. Both lightnings for a morter.
TH8 - 80 barbs, 80 archers, 24 gobs, 8 wbs, 3 heals. Hopefully you come up on collector raids and don't have to use the wbs or heals, but it's nice to have them. I only drop heal if the gain is roughly 60k elixir or a significant amount of gold; i.e., if the gobs are rushing the vault, and there are mortars left, there better be 60k elixir in there. That 60k is 30k for the spell, and 30k for the spell I don't have for the next raid.
All Lightning spells all the way. There's no need for other spells besides lightning except for DE. I'm not TH9 but i have capacity of 200 for army camp. And add in some WB's and take away some barbs and that right there is a legit Barching army ready to go.Quote:

As TH 8 I use 2 rage + 1 lightning (quick clan castle cleanup). I also bring along 8 wb's.
3 rage for me. I rarely use them but when I get in a tight spot and the storages are in a cluster it can clear out everything.
For now i am running 4 lightning.. for two reasons
1. zapping the ♥♥♥♥ out of a high DE storage
2. taking out two mortars.. really helps when you go for a base with a lot of gold in storages.
3 heal, 1 lightning. Lightning is only if I get problematic CC troops. One heal max per raid unless it's a really juicy one and I need another to get that last 100k. I almost never need my lightning. Heals are only used if I'm going for storages.
My usual army is 65 Barb, 127 Arch, 4WB, 4 Giants, all lv6 except the WB of course. Giants and WBs are to help with storage raids, but I often don't need them, plus the giants can double as meat shields if I run out of barbs. I used to use more WBs but the update made them too stupid to rely on beyond getting troops past the first compartment or two.
When farming with barch and bam I bring usually all rages. If spells are boosted maybe 3 rage 1 jump since it is nice to have but the rage is key for getting storages particuslly de and is more valuable. Barch and bam build fast enough where if you lose a raid due to cc or mortar fire its not a big deal but the rage will make sure you still get the loot
I usually take 3 Lightning spells
Incase.....
1. CC Troops
2. To get 50% if I'm really close
3. Get rid of mortar
I myself do not use spells except when necessary, but I keep all lightning spells to take out splash defenses if I need to
Heal spell makes barbarians become gods.
