I am a Town Hall 9 semi maxed, just stayed up all night to lose 40 Cups :( I was using Balloonion, but then I ran into the ferns and hit a wall. I need Help -Trophy Push ends today and I am ~110 cups from masters League

Boost your heros and spells. bring heros and spell every raid, also bring the cc fill with a drag and minions. if you having that much trouble pick off archer towers and anti airs and get the 50%

Update : Just Lost both Heros, 3 Rage Spells, all my Army, half my dignity, and 29 cups !

The reason I used hog riders more instead of dragons is that I didn't need to spend that many gems as I would've with the dragons. With my 2 dark barracks I was filling the army with hog riders in 30 minutes, which is the same time it took for my 4 spells to create (with the boost of course). Also I consider it easier to use hog riders because when you use dragons you spend around 350k elixir/attack and don't really get more than 150-200k back unless you are lucky.. but with hogs not much of a loss, I only spent around 15k dark elixir to jump from 2300 to 2600 trophies.
Once I reached 2600, to get back to ~1800 I attacked for dark elixir and I didn't only get my investment back, but I also upgraded my hogs to lvl 5 (50k dark spent).
If it helps you, my army composition was made of 24-30 hogs (lvl 4) and the rest archers (lvl 5) + archer queen, king and castle troops.

I reached masters league for the first time this week. It took me 4-5 days. One of the days we had war and didnt attack for trophies.
What worked for me was for defense have no loot, so I wasnt really attacked and didnt lose cups that way.
For attacking I managed to barch for 50% with consistency until around 2450.
The last 100-200 cups with gowiwipe. 2 golems, 2 witches, 2 pekkas, 15 wizards, 10 wb and some archers.
Always attack with heroes rested and spells.
And I only attacked other TH9s or TH10s without Inferno Towers active.
A th 9 with both x-bow set to ground only and 2 air defenses upgrading shouldn't be a problem for balloons. If you can't get at least 1 star on that, you might want to practice your balloons strategy first before using it for pushing. Or, if you're not used to using balloons, you can try different army composition.
Myself, I used balloons to farm at Master league. Usually a 24 balloons + 50 minions army would do. Bring along 2 rages, 1 heal and 1 lightning.
From the screenshots, it seems you wasted too many balloons for unimportant targets and spent troops on the wrong directions.
Be patient click next and snipe some ths!
Choose bases you can beat! There are plenty of town hall 9s in the crystal league you can 1-2 star and a few th8s which should be an automatic 3 star! Getting to masters at th9 shouldn't be a struggle at all. I did it at th8 :cool:
Edit: just looked at the pics of your "last loonion try". When you go for the 2 star like that, dont spread your balloons that much. It looks like all of them died before even reaching the air defense. You desperately need to practice balloonion in the lower crystal leagues and when you get comfortable try pushing back up again.
Also, be smarter about how you attack your bases. In those pictures, it is painfully obvious that you should raid from the bottom because there are 2 upgrading air defense there! It would've been an easy 2 star had you raided from the bottom.
Well first of all you seem to spray and pray loonion. Not the way I would go. Precision loonion is achieving the 50% by eliminating peripheral archer towers, wizard towers, and the occasional air defense. Drop anywhere from 1-5 loons per defense depending on level of defense and other defense coverage. Make sure to choose the right base. It makes a huge difference.

dude bring a healing spell, when i bloonion i always have a healing with me. especially when pushing.

bring 24 balloons and 50 mins or 28 balloons and 40 mins and find a base with 30+ trophies and only defenses in the inside and no regular buildings (with the exception of hereos, they can be in the center) then use a single balloon an archer tower if not covered by ad, 2-3 balloons if covered by ad and do this around the whole base until you can drop a circle of mins around the base and get the 50%
Yes the placing only X balloons per defense may work better, but it also takes more skill. If you are not an experienced loonioner then I would suggest bringing more balloons and spraying them. No skill is required and I get always 1, usually 2 stars against all th9s.

good luck bro, first time you try, those last 50 cups are a nightmare....
What may be more effective for you with loons is trying to go for the 50% through surgical raiding rather than the "dump and pray" method. Aim to clear the outer archer towers and wizard towers with sprinkling of minions behind. With loons hitting non-air defences first in the spray and pray method, you're letting them get shot down too quickly. I recently farm/pushed to m3 from g2 in 2 days (boosted 1 barrack and spell factory) without using CC troops at all with a 20/60 loon/minion combo. An extra 6 loons in the CC can help though. The key is just to know what bases you can hit and what you want to avoid. The basic idea for me is:
Archer tower unprotected, no distance to travel - 1 loon
Archer tower unprotected, at least 3 tiles from drop - 2 loons
Archer tower protected by AD in range from drop - 3 loons
Wiz tower level 6 and lower - 1 loon
Wiz tower level 7 and higher - 2 loons
Where I have to use spells is if I see an archer tower, wiz, AD combo together where it should be about 7 loons under rage. Otherwise, there be multiple archer towers in which you do want to use multi-touch to drop at the same time. Remember you want to deploy them in the closest to tower position.
It's worth also testing for those air bombs with a minion or two. If there are teslas that pop up on the outer perimeter, get them all to pop up as they will make the loons re-route along with a delay.
If you look at your screenshots that you posted of your last attack, if you had just sent 2 balloons to each of those bottom archer towers, you could have cleared that entire bottom section (other than the tesla location) for an easy 50%. There were too many loons being dropped on the right top side without any threats in the way allow the left top AD and archer tower shoot them down before they can even reach them. Take your time with your attacks and find those free percentage buildings to drop a minion on too. Once you can get down the 50% is when I would then try to focus on the 2 star rather than always aiming for the 2 star.
Try Loonian with a 24 Loon/50 Minions Combo. The extra loons will provide you with more tank/offensive power, which will allow your minions to clean up a larger area of buildings and occasionally even the town hall.
And as the person above me mentioned, don't just spray and pray--put some strategy into the attack by targeting archer and wizard towers with a minimum amount of balloons.

Need to work on your technique bro. And gonna need to get over not using spells. Loons often need 2-4 rages. You should have raged them to get to air defenses not wait till things went wrong to drop a rage on dragon. That was a easy 2 star tbh.
I'd recommend you watch a lot of mystic7 aka witelightinghd videos on YouTube as he's the most skilled loon user imo. If your short on time barching might be faster. I started coming up on Tuesday and hit masters last night with barch 50%. Sitting around 2650 right now. Troops finish faster the loons.
Also don't attack someone your not 100% sure about. Like your hog raid you should have known the big opening may have been double giant bombs and skipped it.
Don't ever attack without ALL your spells, heroes and cc troops. One loss can take 2 wins to make up hence a lose is several hours of work to make up.
Again don't attack if your not 100% sure you got the win. Inferno's must be in core. If looning air defense either outside or deep inside. Tightly packed ideally. Archers either inside deep or on outer rim. Rage to get there don't drop rage on defense your not trying to get that deep.
