starred out words

plenty of times im in chat and type something like
hows the fair day going?
and for some reason comes out
hows the fair *******g?
plz fix this, its frustrating that "ing" words get stared that are not bad words thanks!

for example i can say "your G*Y" in global chat no stars ill filter here.
but i cant say hows your day going.

global chat isnt broken but it could be fixed

The issue is that often the words being starred mean something bad in another language. I'm not sure what the word is here, but that's probably the case.

Any automated censoring system is going to have these issues. They have to do this to keep their 9 and over rating or whatever it is. That's how the game is and how it always will be.

In the grand scheme of things it doesn't affect play and is hardly worth complaining about.

Mods in global have been ruled out. Yes i realize that isn't in the list, but SC is never going to add them.

I know... I just figured that, as part of my quest to improve global chat, I may as well provide a link to it in case anyone is interested. That, and the thread actually has a viable solution for how to implement them.

But the solution isn't viable. There are 1000s if not 10000s chat rooms, supporting millions of players in many different languages. Will not happen. Ever.
