Onager

An onager works similarly to a catapult. These machines could be used to hurl projectiles up to half a mile (with the larger versions...possible upgrade). The Roman used them in many different ways: large boulders were flung at walls to help bring them down; many smaller rocks were used against enemy troops as a sort of shrapnel; various burning projectiles were used to try and spread fire.

The Onagers is an actual weapon used in Roman Wars. They resemble the one shown in this war game

They act like mortars but are even better because they can move.

Barbarians can pull and fire the Onager at enemy defenses.

It can also be used to protect your village

The projectiles it fires can be upgraded like the mortars

But because of its power, players can only have one

Well, if youre gping to be more realistic, mortars can be moved too

I never said supercell would do this, just that he wants to be really realistic, and in real life mirtars can move

I think any kind of projectile attacking weapon that can take out buildings in offence as effectively as the mortar works in defence has the potential to be just too OP.
Perhaps some stats on this kind of weapon would be helpful so that people can decide if its too strong or not. Or is that Supercell's job?
In the stickies there is still mention of a siege workshop and siege weapons as something Supercell hasn't ruled out, but are still discussing. Maybe when something fair and reasonable is developed all your medieval dreams will come true.
