A Heads up on Upgrading Splash Defences. [MUST READ]

As you might now splash defenses are probably THE MOST important base defense buildings in the whole realm. Which includes Mortars and Wizard Towers.

So, Let's get to the upgrading part.

Let's say i got over confident and super-happy when you see that you have so, so much coins that you could upgrade lots of your defenses at once. E.g You decided to upgrade both of your Mortars or Wizard Tower to a higher level at the same time.

If you did that, then;

YOU

ARE

SCREWED*.

Why so? Lets say i somehow had the same experience recently and i feel regretful every time i see both of my mortars being upgraded, while my wizard towers are almost dope without mortar's support.

All my resources being stolen in a HUGE, HUGE amount on every attack. And my point defenses can't do much without mortars too, so that's probably the reason you're getting screwed BIG TIME.

This usually happens in TH5 (who upgrade both their Wiz tower and mortar at the same time) and TH6 (what i said above)


Conclusions:

Simple; DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT and NEVER, upgrade your splash defenses all at once, because your other defenses are counting on each of your splash defenses.

So it is advised to upgrade your splash defenses ONE-BY-ONE. I know this might seem time-chopping and might be difficult for the impatient players, probably like me.. But No, you HAVE to deal with it and wait. Because if you don't, You'll be sad later, just like i was..

Well basically since you're a higher TH, and you have other splash defenses to cover up your upgrading defenses.

This is basically for TH5 - TH7, since many ruin their life with this lol

This can also apply to th7 and 8 in the case of air defense. It's not splash, but I've seen a lot of people upgrade more than one at the same time.

Just get the pain over with and don't keep allot of resources in your storages.

I alway keep one builder free for walls, the lab uses up the elixir fast enough. Dark Elixir can be difficult cause it takes days to save up for the larger upgrades.

I'm TH8 which allows two levels and I just went for it. I got my butt handed to me and really to get enough to keep the other builders busy i had to stay online.. I allowed a small gap while I upgraded other things but now all 3 air defense are going to lev6.. Mass dragon and healer favored nightmare but I'm used to it by now.. Mortars were maxed at th7 but they are next on my all at once strategy list. I have upgraded a couple archer towers and canons. Also note that first all new th8 defenses were brought to th7 max.

I'd rather be without ALL my mortars for 1 week, than be down to 2 mortars for 3 weeks.

When mass upgrading all your splash defenses (you can include air def as well) all you have to do protect your resources is keep 1 builder free to spend the extra gold on walls.

Just get it all over with I say. For mortars and wizard towers, if you have 1 down your base immediately becomes much less effective, so why not just do them all at once?. With air defense, not so much. If you are a TH8 and only have 1 AD upgrading then you can centralize the other 2 and still do fine, as long as they are a decent enough level. Also, if you do upgrade them all at once, just cash in your resources on walls or other things.

Wiz towers and mortars are , indeed some of the best defences in the game. But you're not screwed if you upgrade all of them together. I myself upgraded my 3 mortars to level 6 and then 7 at the very same time, and i also upgraded 3 wiz towers at the same time and nothing significant (like: every time i logoff someone attacks me) happend. But there is no doubts that these 2 are realy important defences.

The funniest thread so far today. You SHOULD upgrade your splash towers ASAP at lower town halls because they are the most important. Just put your town hall out while they are upgrading! You might get wrecked on defense while they are upgrading but it will only last for a couple days.
