I'm a early-mid TH9 that sits between gold1 and crystal3.
I typically get attacked with farming troops, so I leave mine down.
Having said that, I will usually get attacked from the air during war, so I put them up in my war base.
I am not a TH9 but from what I heard having them set down is usually the best considering that their long 14 tile range is what sets them apart from all the other defenses.
Depends. If you have ADs in the core, have them down. If you have them exposed, have them up.
Well, tell me if im wrong here.. wouldnt an experienced player just notice that xbows are up and then go with a different strat? Say they were going to do mass drags.. all they have to do is change their strat to a gowipe go wiwi correct?
So looking at the top five players, and they all have them down
They must not be attacked by air raids? No one uses balloon raids in champion league?
I would not go by that group of people. Top players are a shady area, with so many things going on. So many people have cheap shielded and exploited the rules up there. It's an entirely different game, with a different strategy.Quote:

If it is in the core, you are generally boasting its great range and good health. Pointed up it has 1 more range than an archer tower. If air attacks are really getting you, perhaps you should put archer towers in the core and xbows in front of air defense to tank. Otherwise they would be set to ground.
