I have been going over the forums for months now, and I am pretty confident this hasn't been brought up. I have this new troop idea (with detail), and I hope you guys enjoy!
I first thought of this when the gem boost week was going on, and I think about it every time I wake up to a full DE Drill. So, I began to think of ways that would make it ("somewhat" easy to develop), and (I Believe) won't cause a balance issue. So, without further ado...
The Thief
His main objective to empty the owners full pumps, mines, and drills. One Thief for each: Gold thief, Elixir Thief, Dark Elixir Thief. Each Thief is not unlocked as usual. You can unlock them as you wish, but the first one will cost 50 gems, the second 100 gems, and the third 150 gems. They become available at lvl 50. This is so people can't just start a new account and buy these and just let them.sit and collect.
How they work: after you buy them with gems they act as any other troop. You purchase each troop with the appropriate resource (i.e. Gold thief is bought with gold). You purchase them and they sit in your camps. When you have a mine (for the gold thief) the gold thief will empty the mine, and (just as a tagline in their story) they try to steal the gold, but your defenses stop them and deposit it into storage. Then that troop dies. They can be taken into battle and would act like gobbs, but their favorite target is the same as their name (i.e. Elixir Thief target Elixir pumps and storages first). But unlike the gobbs they only get x 2 attack bonus when they attack FULL pumps or storages (as they are not meant to be too much like gobbs.

Attack 20( x 2 on full resources) (+2 per level)
Hitpoints 25 (+3 per level)
Cost 150 (+20 per level)
Favorite target: appropriate resource
Damage type: single target
Targets: Ground
Housing space: 3 (so people can't just make millions of them)
Training time: 50s
Movement speed: 30
Description: This little Thief not only wants to steal your opponents (insert resource here), But yours as well! Good thing you have a good Defense!
