barching is the strategy that relies the most on picking the right base to attack. All archers is similar, there are several videos on Youtube that explain pushing with barch in detail. Phamily Shucks' video is my personal favorite if you are interested.
edit: Barching also is very reliant on your heroes to pick off the 50%, you will often not get the 50% with your barchers only.
I can easily barch to win in Crystal leagues, have tried in Master and its doable but certainly not as easy.
I've been in clans before with players winning in Champion with just barch.
Picking the right bases with a lot of exposed buildings, avoiding x-bows, giant bombs & mortars critical.
I barched to champ with th outside. Base selection is key.(as well as not logging off, skipping work, doing nothing else but clash)
Probably the most cost/time effective army for pushing if you have the patience to get good with it. To me, losing a match with barch is far less painful than losing a match with Gowiwi or gowipe. Sure its losing trophies, but its only losing 60k elixir and 0 DE. The win bonus in Master3 and above pays for your army (minus spells) so anything else you make is money in the bank.
From my experience, barching above crystal 1 you just need to become much more surgical and precise. No more spamming troops where pumps are and praying to Mary for a miracle.
A lot of people use Barch, some have even got Top200 with it.

It's all about picking the right base in short, but yes, it is very possible. I've done it myself.

We didn't create it. We perfected it....FFF and yes...most of us farmed in Champ before it was cool...also, I FFF to 4070 with no overnight builds or revenges using gowiwi gowipe drags etc...strictly FFF....as most would call it barch....😈
I use all archers to effectively farm in champ. I find it a lot simpler than barch, that may just be me as it's how I have always played.

My TH10, sitting around 3350 with maxed defenses and using Tyrael's layout he recently showed on youtube, got b-arched yesterday, by Freeman in the clan "300!" They were sitting at 3998 when they hit me, and got 1 trophy for 50%. Used 4 lighting, CC, and heroes to mop up the last few % (heroes were pretty much unscathed).
So yes, definitely works in Champs, but requires a combo of good base selection, and/or spells + CC + heroes.
p.s. personally I've always preferred 2 golems + the rest archers (maybe 4 wiz), but I'm no expert, all I do know is that I've always found 80 barbs and 160 archers is hard for me to get 50% with, despite having seen loads of others do it well - same for if I try all archers.
I got barched in champs yesterday.
I was at 3106.
Barching is super effective in crystal and can fairly easily get you to master 3 but then it starts getting harder.

I have decide to use Balloons and Minions instead. I can't handle BARCH.
If your sig is correct, your in crystal, barching should be cake, picks up difficultly around 2900+ bases you see will always be in that range for the most part. Otherwise any lower is just farming, gotta learn the strategy.
