as a master drag raider with a few loons mixed in I disagree with your input on xbows. Pointed up or down makes no difference, if the xbow is less than lvl 3 and lvl 5 or lower air d, I jump all over it. A level 1 or 2 xbow does little damage to mass drags. If it is an anti air base, with central air d, if they are level 5 or lower you can still 3 star(depending on other things such as if they have xbows and what level) but you have to change spell combos. For an anti air, but lower level air d base, you take 2 rage, 2 heal and 1 freeze. You clear outer path with a drag or 2 so your drags go right towards center, and when they are within striking distance you drop a heal and rage leading them into middle, once workin on central air d, freeze 1 or maybe 2 if your lucky, than repeat rage and heal. I know guides are helpful to everyone, but in reality they can only kind of show you the way, because no 2 bases are usually the same and the ones they attack in guides you may never hit. They can be used for troop combos and what to look for, but your best bet is trial and error and find your own combos for diff types of bases.
As a mass-drag user the above one is obviously an intensive guide while OP's is for starter.
In addition, drag user should be aware of high-level air defense placing behind a line of gold/elixir storage. A group of storage has high hit point and takes time to be destroyed while your dragons are fired. Try avoid placing dragons on that direction.
No, he has a point. I have seen some HORRIBLE advise on these forums, such as zapping the AD that is most exposed and ignoring the AD on the other side of that high hp townhall. One should be aware of high HP buildings. High HP storage saved a star on my base in the last clan war, and we won by one star! So much horrible advise passed off as good advise on these forum, so little time.
DRX10 so much cooler :D
