Hi. I'm currently a town hall 7 and I was wondering if I should bother saving elixir for my dark barracks. I know I can't upgrade it to level 3 but I would like to know if I should. I have been destroyed by Valkyries in Clan Wars before and they have high health and damage, but take a lot of housing space. Are they worth it?
Still no. If you have spare lix later on, upgrade it, but your better off with Mass Dragon for war.Quote:

No. I would rather spend elixir on upgrading other troops.
Valks are pretty sweet when the are maxed, but not worth the cost.
I guess upgrading it takes you one step closer (away) from golems...

No. It's just a plain troop with no specialty, given with average stat-housing ratio to complete its plainness.
They can be quite useful, if you combine them with spells like "jump" and high level golem. However, these are pretty much Th 9-10 stuffs, don't bother using them at Th 7. You'll just wasting dark elixir.
Um, they have the best splash damage of any troop. Try donating a couple for clan war castles. Our last clan war, we face had 1 or 2 Valk's and a bunch of Archers and it messes up a lot of our attacks.
Valkyries are powerful, indeed. Contrary to popular belief they CAN be used in a reasonably cost- and time-effective army. Check out this strategy - the troops only take an hour to train and it costs 560 DE with level 1 valks.

I would definitely upgrade the dark barracks to level 3 since you at some point will be getting at the very least golems and witches if you go to TH9. I have level 4 dark barracks and I've never trained a single valk mainly just because of time and cost. I think they are very good in war though, for clearing enemy cc troops and to have in your own castle. Just 1 of them is good.
I don't know yet. I think they are on par with Peeka's, but go to level 4 instead of 5.
I feel like valks are a solution looking for a problem.
How many times have you seen many buildings clustered up together? Maybe in the core? It's almost impossible for them to be useful for taking out buildings so i just leave 1 in my army and only deploy if i see a bunch of troops coming out of the CC (But it's usually a dragon >_>) to save myself a lightning.
I guess only upgrade if it takes more than 1 hit to kill the average level of wizards/barbs you would find in the CC.
Valks are great troops once they are leveled up. But i would not recommend them for a th7.
you will likely use golems first and even they are a fair way away from you. If you have nothing else to use your elixer for, go ahead, but i would put a low priority on it as a th7
