Okay so i just got all defences maxed. All i need is 246 skull walls :( and I'm maxed. The problem i had was should i upgrade my th right now, and try to finish my walls within the 14 upgrading process? Or when should I wait to upgrade?

it's actually not too bad farming 500k for the walls. you will make a wall every time you hit 500k so you wont be raided for gold very much. thus you can make your entire base to protect your DE and not worry about the gold storages.
A better question i should ask is how long it takes to max walls? I'm decent at the game and can get about 750k - 1m gold in an hour. My goal is to finish my townhall, AND walls at the same time.
I say, get the skull walls done.
TH8 = 225 walls
500k a wall
225 x 500,000 = 112,500,000
So should be a month or less if you grind but I'ts worth it, trust me.
Best thing to do is start the upgrade if u have any gems at least 20-30 boost ur barracks and barch for 2hrs and keep upgrading ur walls if u only get 4 in that time then u need to 1.go to a better LEAUGE or 2.wait longer for higher loot.if u do thus u should be able to get 10-15 walls then just slow dien a bit by the time ur th9 u should have at least 200 walls dont stress tho as you'll be getting more walls anyway only 25 tho so it won't be that bad just have fun and it'll turn out good
Went up to 9 with only 100 skulls. Don't go for all of them, but don't go for like 20. Know your correct middle.
I would stay finishing the walls. I'm about to max my defenses as well and I'm pondering the same thing.
My reasoning would be that it helps in the long run because once you hit TH 9, you'll be too preoccupied with upgrading the new stuff instead of finishing those walls.
There's no need to really rush your base. This game, in my opinion, is meant to be played in a long haul.
if you have 248 skull walls to farm in TH 8 my suggestion is: notice supercell
took me roughly 3 weeks to farm all black walls at th8. thats me farming around 5 mil gold a day.

I suggest you upgrade them, at 500k a pop, they're so much easier to farm for compared to legos.
Skull walls deterred a lot of people from raiding me, as I was saving for upgrades in my early TH9 days.
Yea, you have to admit, when you see a lot of loot but skulls all over the screen... NEXT. unless it's a revenge of course :rolleyes:
It really makes a difference.
just try and get all the outside wall skull walls then upgrade and try get some walls in the middle upgrading when your th is upgrading

I'm in the same boat. I am not quite maxed as TH8 but pretty close. Things I still need to upgrade are...
-5x cannon (lvl 8)
-5x archer tower (lvl 8)
-2x giant bomb (lvl 2)
-6x regular bomb (lvl 4)
-3x tesla (2 are lvl 4, 1 is lvl 5)
-BK (lvl 7)
-some lab upgrades
(even things like barracks and DE storage are all maxed out, so everything but the above)
Pretty much just the traps and some point defenses but that should be done in less than a month. Originally I was thinking about maxing EVERYTHING including BK to 10 and lab upgrades like valk and golem. Now I'm thinking that I will probably do walls and most likely BK to 10, but idk about golems and valks. They're very pricy for TH8. I am still gonna get hogs and minions to 4 though. Hogs are already at 3 and minions are at 2.
Also, people tend to say that walls don't matter because they only get hogged or mass dragoned. I can say that this is true in wars, but in regular multiplayer I have been mass dragoned maybe 2 times. One was a revenge and I don't even know if there was another one. And for hogs, I've rarely been hogged either. Maybe it's more common up in Crystal, but TH8 probably shouldn't be in Crystal league anyway.
Just remember this, if you need de, go to crystal for it. In 3-ish days I made 40k.
Farmed mine in a league season. Stayed at 1450-1600 and boosted BARCH/BAM. It was pretty easy. Get them all done at th8 and get your golems, pekkas and spells maxed before you hit th9...trust me!!! You want the least amount as possible to do at th9 because you're going to want to spend time and DE on your heroes (mainly the AQ because the BK sucks now.)
