What is a "crab" base?

Total "n00b" question here, but I read on one of ZachUVA's posts about farming in the 3000 range and looking for "crab bases", and at first I thought he meant "cr@p" bases, but a quick google search brought up plenty of "crab base designs", but none of the links were of any help. Is it a base shaped like a crab? lol

Just read this and I would also like to know! I'll also use Google, but this place would be the most profitable for knowledge!

Just a wild guess but I think it's a base that resembles a crab.

Same here; Google only brought up designs, and gave me an idea as to what a crab base was, but then there were other links with completely contradicting base designs, I found this:

immediately after posting, but no answer, just Phoenix's answer about copying Supersteve's base...

Maybe a base with the bottom openned and sections on the left and right sides?

That does indeed resemble a crab, and looks very similar to the results from a quick google search. It also looks a bit like the bases in ZachUVA's post. So possibly?

I guess the next question has to be why look for crab bases? Cråp bases are easy to find as they are everywhere.

I believe you may be thinking of a southern tease(r) base?

I'm not looking for crab bases :P I'm just curious, and it wouldn't be harmful to be more educated on different types of bases, and if ZachUVA said to go for crab bases, then obviously 1. They are target/easy bases when ballooning (or in general), or 2. They suck, and should be avoided

I tink the one shown that actually resembles a "crab" per se is more of a southern teaser.

Imo, crab bases are bases which have the sides lined out with resources (storage/collectors)?

I'm also curious. :9
