I personally don't use a mass dragon attack, but I do use an all air strategy with balloons minions and drags. It is very effective as most people don't have really good air defense until you get to level 8 th generally. Its expensive though. But I personally think you need to suck it up and upgrade your air defense. Mine does really good against them and I've never been more than 2-starred by any mass drag attack. I'm at level 70 with a lvl 8 th.
