should you max your walls for your townhall?

yeah so title says it all. right now im maxed th7 except walls. i have all lvl 6 walls (pink) and about 15 lvl 7 walls (dark purple). i am currently upgrading my townhall to 8 as we speak (about 7days left) and am going to take this time to get as many walls maxed as possible. is this ok that most walls will not be maxed for my th7?

You're fine, let it finish. TH8 farming isn't bad compared to TH7. I never really hit TH6 bases anyways. The only thing is TH9 and TH10 will target you more so you will lose more resources on a regular basis.

More than fine. Remember this is your gaming experience so ultimately it is your choice. Everyone has different opinions on this. Just enjoy TH8 when that slowww builder finishes! ;)

Hey, I recommend you do upgrade your Walls. Higher upgraded the walls, the more harder it is for the Enemy to get through your base. I try to upgrade all my walls even though it takes for ever, I still do it. That way, you will have a Max Out TownHall.

My son is going through this same thought process... should he upgrade his walls to purple before TH8 or not... He too has all his defenses maxed.

I'll pass on to you what I told him... If you can keep your builders busy, it's really up to you, but if your builders are sitting doing nothing, it's time to move up. I'm referring to maxing things like barracks and gold/elixer collectors that would keep your builders busy (obviously, since your defenses are maxed).

So my son is going to get his walls to pink (55 to go), and then start the TH upgrade - he'll then use the 8 days for farming purple walls.

Up to a month ago, my TH10 only had purple walls - fully maxed defenses for TH9, plus maxed infernos and I've just started to build skulls. The walls aren't hurting me too badly... most attacks are GoWiPe anyway - including a jump spell to point troops to my TH, so walls won't matter at that point anyway.

I would. If you cant max walls at an easy th7 then boy are you in a world of hurt when you get to th9.

If your builders have absolutely nothing else they can upgrade then yes, go ahead. Otherwise stay and finish the rest of the upgrades while you farm walls. You have enough new walls to do to not have to worry about catching up carryovers.

I'm upper-middle TH8 right now and regretting not getting to all purple before advancing to eight. Not only do you have to get all the walls you have to purple (or potentially to skulls) but you get 25 new ones to do as well. I'd recommend doing as many as you can, building the new walls right away, and then doing walls here and there to get everything up to speed.

If I had to do it again I'd go all the way to purple at TH7 so I could cherry pick skulls here and there instead of focusing on doing a whole wall upgrade which has taken a few weeks so far.
