Possible New Loot System and Solutions
What if they made the loot system kind of similar to getting loot in wars? The amount of loot available to steal is solely based on the collective strength of the base. Please read these ideas first.3
1. People would be able to steal up to a certain cap that is similar to what they are rated as loot bonus in war (More fair than just simply Town Hall Level). The cap could range between 0-500k gold and elixir available and 0-2.5k dark based on base progress.
2. People would be able to steal 100% of the resources in their storages AND pumps, mines, and drills until they reach the cap so that mostly everyone would be affected, even those who are upgrading walls and only have 200,000 gold at the time. (Large amounts of resources wasted on "next" would diminish and more gold for the general population)
3. The next difference would be that collectors and mines would behave similar to war and give no loot for attacking it. You can still steal it, just not at that location as you will see. (More incentive to make creative armies instead of just BARCH and BAM)
4. The total available loot between all the storages and what is currently in the pumps, mines, and drills will be equally distributed (around) 70% in the storages AND 30% IN the town hall (even dark elixir), giving more incentive to protecting the town hall. In addition, the loot in the cc would remain separate and is able to be stolen normally as a bonus. (this would GREATLY affect base designs and give the game a refreshing new feel)
5. The affect of town hall difference factor would be erased and replaced by a base strength difference system for all of those people who did not know and accidentally rushed their town hall. (why should they be punished if their base is no where near others at their level?) Maybe people could instead be assigned a power class rating based on collective progress. Every 10% further you get to being maxed you are moved up a class.
6. This last idea is completely optional. They could implement a system too where the loot that you obtain from the base you raided is broken up and given to you in thirds based on how many stars you achieved, or broken up into a % based on how much destruction you did to the overall base, or both and take the higher of the 2. Example: you raided someone for 400k and destroyed 70% for the base so your total loot earned is 280k; or if you achieved 2 stars you are awarded 2/3 of it, so about 270k, or 133k for 1 star.
This is just an idea that I think could possibly work and solve A LOT of peoples' problems with the current loot system. Please tell me what you think and give a vote. More voices will only help get SC's attention and possibly influence their decision and direction they wish to take.
