Them pesky x bows

Hey peps just need some tips to beat them pesky x bows I am town hall 7 and I am going (trying) to go on a trophies run right now I am over 1,500 trophies trying to hit 2,000 if possible I am trying to raid the good base who have over 500k gold and 1k dark elixir but they have them pesky x bows they just sweep my troops up in a blink I try to use my level 1 king as a shield but don't work good even try a few giants but time they get to the middle there pretty much dead lol if I use pretty much all dragon attack I might be lucky 1 to 2 star but that comes expensive and very long waiting lol am I just fighting a loosing battle should i just avoid these base any tips before I just give up fighting th 9 lol

Chances are you won't be able to beat the higher level bases with X-bows at town hall 7. Try looking for easier targets, and you can also look at the X-bow and see if it is loaded. If it is empty it won't fire at your troops.

How can you tell if they are empty?

How can you tell if they are empty without tapping on them?

I am going to sound like a epic noob now you actually gotta load them your self lol I knew they could shoot ground or air but didn't know they could run out of ammo lol is it possible to out beat the ammo prob not lol

I don't think they run out of ammo mid-battle, but if you look at the crossbow shaft there should be a purple line down the middle- that means it's full. If there's no purple line (there may actually be a black line where it's darker) then it's empty. Also if you see gravestones or a lot of bushes and trees, it's more likely that the player hasn't logged in in a while to refill the xbow. (Those are also signs that the account is inactive and that all the loot is in the mines.)

Well that something I didn't know about I look out and see if they are empty first before attacking cheers

There is no string on an empty x-bow.

It is unlikely that you will be able to destroy lvl 9 th bases at your level, unless they are major gemmers.

Don't fight bases you can't fight. 2 xbows? Ignore it,and wait for an easier base.

The tactics for TH7 against X-Bow is..........pressing 'Next'.

Seriously, I am at TH8 with all troops max and still think that it's hard to beat 2 X-Bow & decent layout by normal troops.

Sometimes, Wall Breakers can help penetrate to the core and Raging lv5 Goblin can get to DE Storage and 2-3 Gold/Elixir Storages. But that's it, the result will be around 30% - 50%. You can aim at buildings around the base for 50% damage but you will barely touch any of their storage.

Sounds like you are trophy AND resource hunting. I'd suggest focusing on one or the other. It's difficult to do both with regular ground only troops. You can shield your troops with giants and BK but you usually only end up getting maybe 1 or 2 storages.

With 10 L2 dragons, you should be able to get at least 50% of most bases. Use lightning spells to take out 1 air defense and try to find bases that are vulnerable to air attacks (air defenses exposed/upgrading, X-bows pointed down). This is very costly and time consuming however.
