New th 10. Need help!!!

I just upgraded to th 10 two days ago. I had max elixir prior to that. As soon as I hit th 10 i upgraded my spell factory and made my 3rd de drill. Now I'm sitting on about 2.8 million elxir but I cannot seem to be able to farm elixir. I've been from bottom of gold 1 to now in crystal 2. Gold is decent but the cost of me making loons for raiding is outweighing the amount of elixir I'm getting in raids. Is it even possible to barch as a th 10 to farm for elxir? How do you farm for elixir at th 10?

and please only th 10 respond. Just looking for people that have gone through this. Thanks.

At early TH10 I relied heavily on minions to farm elixir. So loonian or BAM, depending on how often you can attack. I think I stayed mainly in gold I, but crystal III would be fine too. Loot is hit or miss, but sometimes you can go on some really good streaks.

Move up to crystal 1 and barch. Loot bonus is 55k elixir/gold and 200 dark elixir. Just hit collectors and 50% each baseyou attack and you will get lots of loot!

Ive been using loonion and its a great strategy. Love it! But with the cost of loons and the cost of 1-2 spells I'm barely making a profit if I'm lucky. I'll have to drop down so I can farm elixir.

How often do you see collector raids at crystal 1? I went up there a few times and rarely found them. I'm just trying to weight my options. Either move down to gold 1-crystal 3 or move up. Thats my dilemma.

I find them after 20-25 clicks.Definitely worth the (next button cost) when you find a 200k gold/elixir raid. Plus if you 1 star it, you get an extra 55k elixir/gold

I guess ill have to move up.

I have the exact same problem. I'm trying going down to gold 2. Trying to farm with really cheap troops and no spells

Like suggested above, move up in trophies and barch. The loot bonus will cover your army plus some. Plus, you get to raid often since barch is fast to train. I'm in masters 3 using barch saving elixir

Yup. Trying to move up now. Crossing my fingers!

Personally I ballooned up to C1/M3, then BAM'd down to C2/C3/G1, rinsed and repeated, until my army camps were all done. When ballooning, you need to get used to using around 16 balloons, minimal (or no) spells. When I did this, I mostly had my spell factory out of action. And as noted, you must be prepared to hit next as often as required, if you are just farming elixer. Generally, I found G1/C3 to have way too many TH8 and below, and collectors are over-farmed around 2000, so generally recommend 2200+.
