Big Pekka

OK, I'm currently a mid TH8 that barches 99% of the time and now have a level 3 Pekka (cost me 6mil elixer) --- what can I do with this thing?

Go break things?

The same thing it did at lvl 2 but better. Gowipe!

They are pretty good at lvl 3. Decent for GoWipes but that's not all too effective at a hall 8 either really tbh.

When I was a hall 8 and sitting on max elixer pretty much all through the end, I just had fun using them in regular raids just in hope of burning down some elix.

Or I'd just donate them. Either way they are fun to use every now and then as long as you direct them properly (they love to play merry go round around a base if you don't clear buildings correctly).

I've never used one of these things before at no level. My first instinct is to get the Teslas to pop up and drop one on the other side.....

....and, I've read in a lot of posts hereabouts that gowipe is really not for 8s.

Teslas don't do that much damage really. Most people neglect their teslas and a lvl 3 pekka has 3000 Hp and hits 300 dps. lvl 1-5 teslas pretty much tickle them, as they don't really start doing that much to pekkas till lvl 7-8 IMO, and you also have 4 of them at TH9/10 to worry about.

The reason why GoWipe isn't all that effective at hall 8 is mainly due to army cap. You need more space for more troops, and extra spells at hall 9/10 help a ton, not to mention queenie which can make all the difference in a raid. Pekkas also move pretty slow so it's hard to 3* most bases in war due to time limit usually. They also require lvl 3+ pekka and at least lvl 2 Golems to be decently effective...which most hall 8's won't have access to till the near end, when they are going up to TH9.

If CC troops are in the same vicinity or are being attacked by CC troops, yes.

Pekkas are fun to use but sometimes a bit unpredictable. Make sure you clear the outer buildings as much as you can, then send them in to wreak some havoc.

Anyone saying GoWiPe is not effecitve at th8 either doesnt know what they are talking about because they skipped th's or are simply ignorant. When you get to become a maxed TH8 you will get paired more with premie TH9 and 10. Eventurally mass drag is defended against with more AD, AT, & WT's.

With a BK 10 leading the charge, lvl 1 golems go a long ways. Blanket statements will always leave room for error.
