What's the best army composition for DE Farming as a maxed TH7?
none.
DE at TH7 is a pipe dream. Get your wizards, drags, etc maxed. Unlock max DE barracks so you have a good head start at TH8+ to unlock golem.
8 giant/8 wb/30 gob/rest barch
With this army if you dont get your BK to level 5 within 2 weeks, you probably dont know how to raid
Mass lvl 2 Dragons can take TH9's storage quite easily with the aid of Rage spells. Or you can hop up to 1800-2000 with a bunch of Lightning spells and look for uncollected DE drills with Barch. Don't worry about DE at TH7 though, upgrade to TH8 when you finished your Gold/ Elixir Upgrades as it'll be so much easier to get at TH9.
I don't have special troop combo to farm DE. But I always take 3 lightnings and raid my cup in a proper league.
I farmed enough DE to max my BK at L5.
It is definately possible.
Get high in trophy, 1400-1600 at least. look out for bases with exposed DE storage and available loot of 500+ DE.
If you can get to crystal, 1950+; look out for bases that have maxed out DE drill and take them. I have collected DE upto 2200 from the drills.
Use Giant-healer or BARCHER with few giants and look out for bases that have exposed DE. There will be people who say its impossible but believe me, I had maxed my BK before moving to TH8.
Look at my Heroic Heist in my sig and be jealous. 130K DE! :rolleyes:
What I did was to push to crystal by sniping TH (2 days from Gold III) and snipe exposed drills on the way. From this during one raid I earned 2000 DE in one raid purely from drills.

if you want to loot from DE storage , try this combo :cool:
16 gaints , 8 wb , 16 wizards , rest archers ( cc wizards 5+ ) + healing spell.. you can take 2-3 stars , & loot almost every storage from th8 , even th9 if you have skill ;) !
