WAR...What is it good for?....absolutely nothhhinnn

War can be profitable for lower level members. In my clan most save second attack for either cleanup or resources. A lot of times that means our lowest members get to snipe #1.

War loot should increase for donators. You should at least get half of the resources you used for war cc donations back if you win.

War is fun. Without it dragons pekkas hogs golems witches would be pointless for me. I get to coordinate my clans attack strategy. It keeps chat going. We can rag each other congrats whatever.

Yes this is genius. In my clan lots of times people will use barch to get 1 star on a high up base that has already been attacked just to get the loot bonus. Normally I wouldn't mind this but lots of the time we don't even win those wars.

Also, in regards to the loot based on stars...What would happen if a base is 1 starred already and then I 3 star it. Would I get 150% or 100%? I'm guessing 150% but I'm curious.

CW is the most fun part of the game for me win or lose. I don't go to it for the loot lols. For the loot I win out of it I can get in 2-3 barches lol. The team fun and coordination aspect is fun. If it aint fun for you maybe you should find a clan that makes it fun. We have a blast with it.

Flawed. Some people have to take on harder targets for the good of the clan. Lets not penalize them.

In our clan wars is mainly for fun - watch live and cheering each other on has really saved our clan as a few loyal clan members were getting bored with farming.

In the beginning a few people complained it was costing too much elixir, so we started a second clan where they could go to when they dont feel like going to war every three days - most have come back to our main clan and love the atmosphere that the wars create.

We also tried a few snipe wars, where nobody donated to the war clan castle and nobody did a full attack (unless they wanted to of course) - the only goal being to find an exposed th and snipe it, lose the war and get the 20% war loot. This was "profitable" but boring and only lasted for maybe a week or so.

Clan Wars is/was a great addition to a great game.

Most answers have been GREAT....this kind of answer is just funny to me. I'm all about profit....that's what makes it fun to me.

This person clearly doesn't understand profit. It ain't what you make, it is what you spend.

For all those that say war is for fun and not profit....you are right !!

Those that say they are profitable, u might make a profit but it will always be a lose because of the time lose not raiding.

They need a war opt out button.

I used to think war was about profit but it is really for fun. (Aside from DE, war is not very profitable unless you get lucky with a cake clan).

Raiding (I barch 100% of multi player raids) gets monotonous...it is fun to use the best troops and test your base leveling skills.

Personally, I don't like war that much. I feel it has the potential to tear clans apart. However, I would love the opt out button and really hope that comes into play.

This said, once per week is a great balance and it serves to break the monotony of the game. I've had the most fun having a slight trophy push before the war so that we all get out of the farming phase and into beast mode phase with our best troops. What's the use of having golems if you don't use em (for example). I also barch 100 percent of the time in multiplayer.

On the one hand, there's always the same battles in war (Mass drag, GoWipe, GoWiWi, hogs), whatever combo you want to put with it.

On the other hand, much the same can be said of multiplayer battles. The difference is the cost. I think if the opt out button was included or even bigger payouts to losers, it might be a little more interesting to me. But this is just my opinion. Right now, even though wars are fun, all I can think is "great, another elixir drain". I do think that it will continue to get better and we need to be patient as Super Cell implements the changes. I, for one, welcomed the update to editing war bases and dismissing war base cc troops. I can only assume they know of these things and are working to fix them.

Alright, let's say a lower level 3 stars #25 on the list and gets a bonus of 1.5x (250k of gold/elixir and 500 DE). A higher level then 2 stars (assuming 2 star because a 1 star attack in war isn't very good) #5 which would offer maybe 400k of gold/elixir and 1000 DE. It would work out that the higher level gets a greater loot.
