I know everybodies goals are different, mine are to get as much loot as possible to improve my base. I have found wars to be unprofitable. Granted i use mass dragon attk, and i know loons are much cheaper, but even so...I still think wars are a waste. Yes you get some great loot when you win, but after donations n army building, and the time spent vs normal raiding.....does anybody else feel they are not profitable?
Well, they're fun (sometimes), and I feel that the DE I get from it makes it worth it. Sure it's 700k elixir down the drain, but who needs elixir unless you're in the early stage of a TH?
Im a th8, lvl 78, and bounce around S1 n G3 trophy range. I average 2K - 3K a day in DE. I found tht the biggest lose that comes with wars is the time spent NOT raiding.Quote:

I don't farm much anymore, so the weekly clanwar is all that keeps me interested in this game.
Agreed, war once a week can be interesting, more than that and it gets too monotonous
It's so much elixir for such a little return. I'm thinking about dropping war until I'm out of things to do.. Even once a week is making me have to raid extra to keep my lab going. And it's nothing but caps locks on war day because of the recommended target thing. Here's a reenactment
Leader: "I explained the rules the past two weeks, why did you attack that target?"
Member: "I hit my recommended target, the game recommended this one"
Leader: "I told you twice already the game tells you to hit weak bases to make you lose!"
Member has been kicked from the clan!
To me, Clan Wars are the only thing that keep this game from only being a farm-fest. I don't participate in CW to get loot. I participate to win stars, show off attacks to my clan, and learn new strats from all of the replays.
I mean wars are no fun when you get paired with chinese war clans. :rolleyes:
I like war because I can fill up my clan castle with loot and it's mostly protected until I need it for a big upgrade.
