Yet Another Loot Thread - With Suggestion

I know these threads are getting old, but I've noticed that loot's been tougher for me since the 1 gem event. I think it's even worse than before that point. I'm BAM-farming black walls at TH8, and I feel like I hit next for nearly 10 mins more and more often to find a base with 100k gold that I can get in Gold 2.

Now, maybe Gold 2 isn't the place for me. I'd love to try a beefier army, but the build times are a lot longer. A 30-gem 8x training boost is definitely something I'd go for, but it probably won't happen.

I see a LOT of premie bases in Gold 2. I really think it'd be good for the game if it was required for folks to max their collectors before moving up in TH level. It's a pain every time I see a gold walled premie TH10 sitting with full L5 collectors that I have to next on because they've only got 60k gold.

It'd be cool if either of those happened, but until then, I'm open to suggestions. Any TH8's having luck? What league?

That might help the problem somewhat. But I think it would also help if supercell cut down on the long buildtimes required to upgrade gold/elixir collectors. Most people don't want one out of three, maybe four builders tied up with something that seems both menial and trivial. They have defenses to upgrade, and any future revenue lost by opting not to upgrade collectors can be made back through raiding.

I think walls are a big issue with loot. "I have 1 million gold left after my upgrade? Well, might as well dump it on walls." This just results in almost ZERO storage raids, unless you catch somebody that doesn't have a free builder available, and thus can't dump loot on walls, but they probably have a shield because they are a farmer.

Drop down to Gold III. Dark Elixir won't be as prominent but you'll find easy Barch-able TH7's with 150k-200k of each resource and the occasional abandoned collector base.

Hit 1 th lower than you. Farming troops can't reliably take loot from storages of bases at their own level. People say to use rage/heal but waiting 2 hours for spells make that not a viable solution.. Especially in a higher trophy range it gets tough to hold onto loot. Same goes for balloons, wizards and etc, too long of training time.. Much better to hit TH7 for 150k+

Maxing collector? Hell no! I'm going to TH9 with level 3-6 pumps :)

If they decrease the time I would of wasted a lot of time

th 10 inactives with 60k gold? I am a th9 and I take those raids all the time. I use only a few troops so i can raid again, easy. 60 k plus loot bonus is not bad

If you're tired of hitting "NEXT", then I say grind it out. Go use 5k of elixir troops and pull in 30-50k of resources. Takes longer, but we're here to *play the game, no?

That's about where I'm at, tbh - it's always fun to get a big haul, but that's just not happening right now. It would actually be better if I were in C3/2 doing that rather than G2, bc the win bonus would at least be worth something.
