New to ballooning

I've never used balloons but now I have level 6. My minions are level 4. Troop capacity is 220. Can I get some advice on a good setup? Thanks and much appreciated.

I'm using balloonions as well.

my set up:

24 balloons
50 minions
2 rage
1 heal
1 lightning

But what's your goal? farming or pushing?

I pretty much want to wipe out bases. That's the only reason I got balloons - as another option in the wars

You can't wipe out well developed TH9 bases with just balloons and minions.

I can usually wipe them out with hogs, buy antihog bases are a problem.even a semi strong TH9 can stop the hogs if the layout is a good one. I want the balloons for those kinds of bases - not too strong, but too well designed

Personally as a TH9 I wouldn't use balloonions in war. It's an awesome army comp because it's quite cheap and allows you get 1 star even against maxed out TH10, but just 1. You just won't wipe out bases, at least not the decent TH9s and 10s. I rarely got more than 1 star even against bases which seemed not that strong.

If you want to destroy an anti hog base with balloons, check out the HoLoWiWi raids.
(Hogs, Loons, wizard & witches)

Hulk from Reddit Troopers made some outstanding video's about this kinda raids. Just check it on Youtube :)

I feel bad for you knowing you spent all that elixer to get loons that your only purpose was to use in war

30-32 balloon + minions + 3 healing spell (lv5) + 1 rage can 3 stars a decent TH9 and even max TH9 if xbow target ground.

This is in no way an offensive reply, but can you pls show me a vid where a maxed TH9 (except for walls) gets 3-starred by balloonions?

I would love to learn how to do that :)
