There should be more ranks in a clan then elder co leader and leader. Like a rank below elder like somethin like Grunt(new rank) - Elder- (new rank need to think of name- Co leader- and finally leader. So 5 ranks..... Cause I have loyal members like all clans but don't wanna make em co leader but they are elder and there is other members too. Or you get that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who isn't elder and kicks all none elders out before he quits
I agree, but it'd be cool if clan leaders could decide how many ranks there are and what they're called too.
This falls under Coathanger's analogy of the swiss army knives.
Too much of a good thing can be bad. I think the upgrade of Co-Leaders were great, but anything more in between seems excessive.

Before coleader was introduced, everyone handed out elder like candy to get ppl to join. The forums were full of people who wanted a rank between Elder and Leader so they could separate the Elders into loyal Elders and Elders who got Elder just for joining. Supercell did that by lessening the abitlity of Elders and introducing Coleaders. Five milliseconds after that update what did we all see in global. "Join. Free co."
There is a rank under Elder. It's called member. If clans made people earn Elder and consequently earn Coleader, they would both mean something and there'd be no need to introduce another rank which could be handed out like candy in global.
I like this idea but my thought would be just one more rank and that is General make it where co leaders can't kick them but the general wouldn't be able to kick anyone above elders just because their are those that you don't want to be kicked for whatever reason! This rank could be for those that are good in wars and battles but might not do so well with donations!! So it would look like this
Leader, co, General, High Elder, Elder, member!
It would make it easier for each clan to define the jobs of each member!! For instance elders would be those that keep their donations higher than their received, High Elder could be those that donate a lot and ask for little in return! Generals would be those that don't donate a lot, but constantly win their battles in war, and finally co leaders would be all the above!
It would make people know what is expected of them while at the same time making them feel each new level is a accomplishment!
While there are clans that do this not all clans do! This is a strategy game and sometimes it is good to name people and their job!! I tryed this using elders and co leaders, saying you are responsible for this you that so on and so forth but I threw it out the window because I couldn't remember who I assigned what!! And having individuals be named for their jobs makes it easier to keep up and remember who your supposed to demote for what!Quote:

It'd just be helpful for me if I could add ranks and titles and determine who got what privileges. I could better motivate my members as well as better organize my clan.
All these people complaining about kids handing out promotions are completely ignoring the needs of the people who want it and are pointing out the idiots whom can't appreciate it.

It depends on how many players you have in the clan what amount of Co-Leaders you need.
When you have 20 clan members, 1 Leader and 3 Co-Leaders are enough?
if you make 10 people Co-Leader there is no way to manage your clan, because anyone can do the same..
When you have 50 clan members, 1 leader and 5-8 maybe 10 Co-Leaders are more than enough.

If you have played any game that has a guild or a clan with ranking system wih promotion and demotions. You'd understand more where most of us are saying with have a choice between 3-5 ranks. IE any blizzard games, steam games, ea games an a lot others I can't think of or probably never played.
But it'd be Member>Elder>High Elder>Co-Leader>Leader and some say General between high elder and co leader but that to me seems to much.. Leader- Mastermind to the clan :P
Privileges are same as recent CoC, able to promote/demote to any rank, send clan email, kick any rank, invite people, start wars, edit clan info.
And there will be choices to pick between all 7 ranks or maybe original 3 ranks or just 5 ranks.
If you take 5 ranks. You need to pick between the 3 new ranks (Member, High Elder, General)
AND IF THIS ACTUALLY DOES HAPPEN IT GIVES THE CHOICE TO THE PLAYERS WHO DONT LIKE THE IDEA AN KEEP IT THE WAY THEY WANT IT IN THE CLAN. :)
If I missed anything for privileges or anything at all. Maybe add or fix or adjust. I'd appreciate negative feedback as much as positive. If you do reply with why this shouldn't happen or something to add/remove/fix please explain your theory :)

How are people against this idea, or the idea of more ranks in general?
I need a rank to give long time members who have been diligent in donating but lack maturity. Something to award them with for being diligent and loyal to the clan, but something that doesn't give them clan join requests, inviting or kicking rights.
The real problem with the CoC ranks is that there is nothing between member and Elder. I can't even really GIVE someone the Member rank, they just get that from being in the clan long enough. And "Member" is not a rank as it is just stating the obvious. That they are a member of the clan who isn't new.
I would prefer the custom option the most, something I can theme towards my ATLA themed clans, but if customization was too big a system to add, all I would ask for is:
"Member" rank name changed to "Loyalist" (or something Supercell devs like) and visible in Clan List
- Make it something you HAVE to be awarded and not given just from a timer
Blank or "Member in clan chat" will still be given on a timer. They just won't be a loyalist titled player. Although sharing in the same privileges.
(Discriminating privileges is a discussion I would like to have, but.........too few of options other than limiting who can war, donate, be donated to that could be options for what ranks can do what...and that is a debate I am sure with many sides.)
So title only is what loyalist is. And you would be surprised how TITLE alone can be a reward to people.
