Are wars a waste of resources and time?

Some people actually like the competition and rooting for their fellow clanmates in battle.Don't war attack then, pretty simple!

From a resource perspective, yeah it's usually a losing endeavor. Max lvl troop CC fills, army comps, war reqs, etc are costly in elix and de....and you almost never recoupe what you spend even when you win.

It's more about the fun and strategy IMO. Learning how to attack bases with different comps (some bases/clans, much more difficult than others) and of course supporting your clan and putting stars and stats on the board.

The loot bonus is just an extra boost in my book. Welcomed, even if I only get back a third or so of what I spent.

They are definitely a waste of elixir, but hey they are fun, and that's the whole reason we play games right?

Then don't participate in clan wars. Simple.

Clan wars are meant for fun, strategy, cooperation, and social reasons.

If you're doing clan wars for resource gain, then you're doing it for the wrong reason.

While if you win, you can replace some of the elixer/DE spent, with some bonus gold, it's not a means to gain a lot of resources.

Random raiding is the way to get resources.

Never train dragons. There's your waste. Can't even get one star... Lol.

It helps our clanmates with lower TH levels when an enemy's # 1 has an exposed TH for sniping.

Though I must agree that it costs too much elixir for war requests and war cc donations being done by our top 5 clanmates.

Clash of clans is a waste of time and resources. It's crazy fun as a bag of cats tho. So whatever.

From personal experience, learning how to 2 and 3 star bases made a very noticeable difference in how i raid. I am certain anything "lost" in a war is gained elsewhere 10 fold.

Also most clan leaders now a days are looking at players war stars, good way to judge how much of a team player your are.

I only ever do wars when people leave their bases as farming bases and are like "screw clan wars! who cares?"
Then I kill them off, take a couple stars, and get da LOOT :3
