Should I Gem?

The clan i'm in just started Prep day for a war, and i'm 2 days away from TH7. Should I buy gems, and speed up the upgrade for the extra walls, troops, and defenses or just remain at TH6 for the war?

I could just gem the upgrade without buying Gems, but then weeks of clearing obstacles to get the 4th builder would go to waste.

You should purchase a massive amount of gems so that I may continue to enjoy this game for free.

Gemming completion should be left to people who's able to keep buying gems or is in an emergency situation but it's just 1 war. Becoming TH7 won't help you much unless you get dragons or lab upgrades done which would be a tad expensive

I'm happy to purchase gems so people can play for free, because without people like us who purchase gems on a regular basis, this game would not exist in all of its current glory.
