Im th8, had all lvl5 troops when I went to sub200, finished lvl7 walls fairly quickly down there. But like he said, you gotta watch daddy's vid to really grasp how to get the gold fast and efficiently. His vid helped me a lot! A few of my clan members didnt listen to me though and completely failed down there by not watching it first.

Also it's good but definitely not good like gold 2 was before the whole 1 gem event. 2 weeks ago I would make around 4-5 mil with all barracks boosted, now I can't even make 2 mil in gold 1 2 3. In sub 200 I make about 2.5 mil in 2 hours boosted. This is BTW gold.
