I really believe dra is your best option here. Get 5 balloon 6 on CC would help. Make your way for the dragon go into the middle and rage them in the middle. Use their CC & heroes if it's in the center as well. I actually find it's easier to 3* a base with all 3 centralize AD because once the Dragon get there, you win. I was more afraid of 2 Centralize AD, and another one is center, but NOT that center. That 3rd AD usually the thing that prevent the 3*.

Drags should almost always 2* any TH8 regardless. 3 depends on lvl of Ad's and placement, and not always guaranteed depending on design and the dumb AI of drags (they love to split if not placed well and/or outside buildings cleared properly).

GoWipe isn't effective until Pekkas are lvl 3 and at least lvl 2 golems...and really not even all that great at hall 8 anyway to be honest. But it does work for some of those spread out hog ring and anti air bases.

Hogs work well if lvl 4+, and the used on the right base (tight/compact, little inside spacing making it easy to tell where traps are and bases with non centralized/ non high lvl royals).

Loonian really isn't very good till max loons and TH9 either.

Dragons should be able to 3 star any th8 regardless of where the ad are. Just take care of 1 of the three air defense with lightning (the farthest one from where you plan to start your attack), and then drop 2 dragons on each of the corners on the side you plan to start from(hopefully the side closest to the ad...). Give them a second to kill a few buildings so the 7 other dragons make a b-line for the interior of the village (and the ad).

Should three star every time.

I don't have a problem dragon-ing most th9, until they get about halfway through. sometimes I kill an ad with 4 hogs if it is possible.

I see a lot of people in wars(both in my clan and in the enemy clan) just spam dragons. That doesn't work on any decent th8+. you have to think about what you are doing. It isn't rocket surgery though, dragons are pretty easy to use.

That said, I try to limit my use of dragons. Pretty soon they are going to become useless once I start attacking more th10s. not to mention, it is kinda boring...

Absolutely, there's a 3rd AD that prevents from having a 3 stars. When 3 ADs are centralized, all you need to do is let dragons fly their way to the center and then rage.
