I suggest there be a base design layout feature. For example I make a base for farming and I save it to a slot on my device then I feel like going back to trophy pushing I make a base for that and save it in another slot. So now later down the road I want to push back to farming it's as easy as loading a saved layout I had saved previously. This basically saves everyone time and the hassle of clearing all buildings and putting them back to the correct positions.
