Woo there it is... couldnt find it, so change the base slightly to get a wall back.
Nice defence there, that AQ is a right pain.

Yup, thats my opinion on what makes a good base. I believe many people agree with me, although my current base is bending the rules, but is still doing pretty well haha.
Its just a rough "guideline" per se.
Hm, in my opinion regarding base design.. once you create a core structure using the guideline I created above, test run it for a few weeks.
Use the defensive replays to further tweak your base.
Check out other player's base and try to incorporate those design tactic like anti-wb, Giant/gobs AI pathing tricks into your base.
Thats where the base is at its "maximum/peak", where there is really no more room for improvement.
Haha, thats where I got bored of my farming base and went on to create a "new" base design :)
Haha, i know how you feel, happens me at times as well.
There was a defense where I have a wall missing from my gold storage.. luckily the attacker didn't realise haha !
Thanks. Indeed, I'm not sure how many time did my base get taken of 2-3 storage by that archer queen..
But thankfully for my super spread out storages, they cant get all 4 storage haha :p
Cant wait for TH9 with xbow to combat that archer queen.
The Trophy Hunting version has been holding quite well in the 2200's, breaching 2300's. All attacks, except for 1, have failed to reach the Town Hall. Below is a log of the most recent attacks, which were all revenges. Will upload the top replay tomorrow.
Thanks Pinser, for answering the questions while I was watching Iron Man 3. ;) That is why you're my favorite peasant in DTP!
That is a frequent but good question. I will add it into the Frequently Asked Questions section of the OP. To answer your question, here are 2 possible placements:
1. If your Hidden Teslas are low level or upgrading, place them outside to create the trick Giant pathing effect demonstrated in the OP. Refer to Kong's story.
2. If your Hidden Teslas are high/max level, tuck them behind walls to utilize their high DPS.
Glad to have you at our parties buddy!
That's the toughest loss I've seen from the design. You win some you lose some right? ;)
The 3rd AD is incorporated into the Hybrid version in the Frequently Asked Questions section of the OP. The exact AD placement can be used for the Farming version. Just switch the DE storage with the TH.
My brief analysis of 2 v. 3 storages is as follow:
2 Storages - You are less likely to lose some, but more likely to lose all.
3 Storages - You are more likely to lose some, but less likely to lose all.
A design without T-Junctions would have no segmentation.
EEK !!!
I want watch too !!! :eek::eek::eek::eek:
IRON MAN !!!! :o:o

I can prove you wrong, but I'm too lazy :(
well, I think pingfao is really nice for sharing base design. But these are just basic stuff. If you guys want to be more advanced you need to make your own adjustments and learn from replays, no one will share stuff like anti-wb for free.
scanners, yes it is definitely worth seeing! By far my favorite Super Hero movie yet.
I'm trying! It's getting really tough to move up the ladder in the 2200's with Tier 1 and 2 troops, so I'm resulting in Dragons the past few hours. My Elixirs are drying up and I'm 4 days from TH9 though. :p
Other than endpoint to endpoint, which forms corners, any intersection creates a T or X-Junctions, no? Boxes/shapes inside of boxes/shapes are not real segmentation. Unless.. my geometry is rusty?
